Michelle Bachman is a total moron.  I cannot believe anybody on this board would support her.  You Reps/Cons have got to be smarter than that--Boxy as usual gets it right.

Yes, we know, all Republican/conservative women are morons.  No comparison to the genius of Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer, and even that moron Gillibrand.

Only moron New Yorkers would vote for Gillibrand, whose father is a notorious lobbyist and Albany insider.  He's also a close partners with Bruno and Pataki.  But hey, she has a (D) after her name, she must be good.

It's not just that I think Bachmann is a total moron... that's just my opinion.
It's that responsible people who've worked with her and 'know her well'... people who helped get her elected to congress and the senate, agree with me.

Those on HER SIDE think that she's is a terrible candidate for President.

Many of us would agree, she doesn't have the business experience and has never had to handle finances like a governor of a state does.

Hey, in 2008 I thought Obama was a total moron, now in 2011 - I KNOW OBAMA IS A TOTAL MORON.

We have more troops in Afghanistan, we're bombing Libya, unemployment at 9%, wildly unpopular Obamacare bill, and a HUGE failed stimulus bill.  But, he did extend the Bush tax cuts for the "rich" and Gitmo remains open for business.  That's just the facts.

And with all that against him... he's still about to win reelection in 2012!

Bachmann screw ups are so much a part of every days news that "Factcheck.Org" did a report:

The GOP lawmaker's presidential campaign starts with a slew of off-base claims.
June 28, 2011
Rep. Michele Bachmann officially joined the presidential campaign trail, but made a flurry of false and misleading claims along the way.

The Minnesota Republican appeared on two Sunday talk shows the day before giving her formal announcement speech in Waterloo, Iowa. On the shows, she made false statements about income from her family farm and government subsidies to her husband's business. She also made misstatements regarding earmarks, federal pay, government-owned "limousines" and health care:

    * Bachmann falsely claimed that she and her husband "have never gotten a penny" from a family farm that received federal subsidies. But she reported income from the farm in 2006, 2008 and 2009 -- the most recent year available -- on her congressional financial disclosure statements.
    * She claimed she had been "faithful" to her pledge not to request federal earmarks. But she requested $40 million in transportation earmarks in the 2009 fiscal year budget after taking the pledge, later claiming such projects should not be subjected to her promise. She withdrew her requests after the House Republicans took a party position in 2010 not to seek earmarks.
    * Bachmann wrongly blamed President Obama for increasing the number of federal transportation workers who earn more than $170,000 from one to 1,690 during the recession. At least two-thirds of those employees were receiving more than $170,000 before Obama took office.
    * She criticized the president for a 73 percent increase in government "limousines." But one department accounted for the increase, and it had a long-term plan, pre-dating Obama, to add armored vehicles. The term "limousine" includes armored vehicles and sedans, not just actual limos.
    * She claimed government money received by her husband's counseling clinics did not benefit the business, because the funds paid for employee training. It's true the clinics received $24,041 for training, but the business received thousands more in government funds, including money for treating crime victims.
    * The three-term congresswoman repeated -- on two Sunday shows -- the false claim that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the federal health care law will "cost the economy 800,000 jobs." The CBO never said that. It said there will be a "small" impact on jobs.

When she got to Waterloo to deliver her first official campaign speech, Bachmann made her now viral gaffe in saying that tough-guy actor John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. The Duke was born in Winterset, Iowa, and was raised in California. It was John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer, who was from Waterloo.

She has accomplished a lot more than the community organizer ever did before he ran for President.

She has an LLM in tax law from William and Mary. She started her own company which employs over 100. She has 6 children and is foster mom for 20 more. Nobody cares what some former staffer says.

Obama is a total failure and complete incompetent. He should stick to golf for his few remaining months. What's worse his horrible socialist economic policy or his apologist foreign policy? Obama was going to change the way Washington does business? By starting another war without Congressional approval and stabbing allies in the back.

I do not defend or condemn Obama for his Presidency. But has anyone really stopped to look at Washington and the total division of the parties that has stalled our country drastically?  When DEMS present bills for review and vote, REPS don't do revisions, edits, compromises, negotiations, etc., they just band together and reject it without offering compromise or alternate suggestions or recommendations.  Now, I'm not on the side of the DEMS either, becuse same happens with REP bills.  I thought these people were suppossed to represnet the people of this country, but too many are following party lines, no matter how vague or wrong they are, and not using their own heads or soliciting the public voice.  Our system got broke real quick, and it didn't start with Obama...it may very well have begun with the previous administration.....but Obama hasn't been able to fix it, or just plain doesn't really know how.

I don't care if they are REP, DEM, IND, CONSV or just plain nobody....show me you have a vision to put this coutnry back together that you can prove and will abide by, and you have my vote.  I'm really tired of voting for the lesser of evils and business as usual.  PALIN and BACHMAN cannot do any of that...they are all smoke and mirrors...just listen to them talk.  They can't answer simple questions and are not informed on today's issues.  Why do they think they are qualified....more importantly why do so many think they are qualified to run for this office...............sad, sad, sad!

Bachmann and Palin are not white house material...imho!! However, they clearly can be KING MAKERS!! They both have a huge following that could and should be used to support a better equipped candidate......which if they are serious about their country, that candidate should be Ron Paul!!

We have already had an uninformed numb brain pres for 2 years with 2 more to go.........I don't want another!!

Ron Paul is clearly the only choice!!

It's clear that there are going to be a lot of very disappointed people on this board on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.

As usual, the dems and reps, with the help of the media, will pull out all the stops to push Paul to the back!! Now American patriots will see what the real tea partiers are made of!!

Our system got broke real quick, and it didn't start with Obama...it may very well have begun with the previous administration.....but Obama hasn't been able to fix it, or just plain doesn't really know how.

It happened with the invention of the internet and the parties loss of control of information.  The Republican Party claimed to be the party representing the small government constitutional conservatives.  Well, over these past ten or so years under GWB, these constitutional conservatives have realized, it just isn't so.  Now they have is a Tea Party constituency they have to deal with.

In the past, Democrats and Republicans would go behind closed doors, and compromise on a bill where each of the parties special interest were rewarded a little favor, while the taxpayer footed the bill.  If the Dems proposed a bill that required more regulation on oil industries creating 1000 new unionized government jobs, the Repubicans asked for millions of dollars in subsidies for those same oil companies.  At the end of the day, Democrat and Republican expanded government and spent money greasing each special interest. Then the party leaders would walk out from behind the closed doors and stand in front of the cameras, selling it to the American people.  Then each network news anchor would repeat the same narrative, and the people would know no different.  Today, because of the internet, people have become wise to the game, the information is diverse, the politicians lies and contradictions are digital record and at the finger tip of every American.  The art of the political lie is now much harder than the pre internet days.

There is a segment of American society that is waking up, and the politicians cannot go behind closed doors and cut some deal screwing the taxpayer without the "chattering class"(as Schumer says) finding out about it.  So the Republicans and Democrats cannot just compromise and push things through without fearing the repercussion at the next election.
