I am pretty much on board with what Ann wrote, all of which I have read before over the past 50+ years. This is where education is necessary because someone has to tell the new souls what the score is. That is why the minds of our young are being filled with crap in the schools & via the media. Some of the media brainwash is capitalism, driven by an agenda.
The French Revolution we have all come to know & love was not the first. There was a massive 'peasant revolt' prior to the official revolution, it was a taste of what was to come. It was vile & loathsome without Liberty, Equality & Fraternity. At least the second revolution had nice phrases even if the guys with the pitchforks did not have a clue.
The most dangerous type of revolution is the romanticized variety.
The precursor (peasant revolt) of our second revolution is taking place now. It is ugly with few telling the truth. Those telling the truth are being drowned in a sea of lies.
My mother's father's people are Polish, from an area sometimes referred to as East Prussia. My grandfather would say his people were Jacobites, revolutionaries. They were idealist, not looters in Chicage or anarchist in Athens. A high percentage of Napoleon's Army that captured Moscow was Polish. As were many of the Emperor's legions. The Poles were hardy & principled. Who will be the foot soldiers in the next revolution. I doubt they will be Poles nor principled. This is where America is headed.
I always come back to my Irish immigrant father & Polish Immigrant grandfather. Two men of different disposition, living on different moral planes, both Catholic who like many of their friends could foresee civil war/revolution coming to America. A war based on race hate AKA class struggle. In a time when Americans should be more inclined to 'accept' we are being divided into groups. Black, Anglo, Hispanic, poor, rich, gay, straight, how did this happen when we have a Half-African/American President? We are HISTORY IGNORANT & that is the gift that keeps on giving.

Agreed and those like her are the Republicans that are just as dangerous to our Republic than the most far left liberal. Like you wrote they don't mind big government as long as its their big government.
