Duci celebrated on his 90th birthday Surprise party honors Schenectady ex-mayor BY DAVID LOMBARDO Gazette Reporter
If you ask former Schenectady Mayor Frank Duci how old he is, there’s no chance you’ll get a straight answer. “It’s slightly over 21, not 90,” he informed well-wishers greeting him at a surprise birthday party at the Glen Sanders Mansion on Saturday evening. The response from the longtime Republican politician was expected by his daughter, Nancy Denofio, who had the joke inscribed on top of the vanilla and chocolate birthday cake she baked. “He never says his age,” she acknowledged. About 100 people crowded into a small dining room on the ground floor for Duci’s 90th birthday party, which had been organized by Denofio and Duci’s wife, Patricia. Denofio said her dad might be getting old, but he still feels young and probably wants to start planning his 110th birthday party. “He would live to be 200 if he could,” she said. “He loves life.” And while Duci is still quick with a joke and can easily recall antics from the past, his mobility has suffered in recent years and his daughter admitted her dad’s vision isn’t great. .......................>>>>..................>>>>...........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01102&AppName=1
