SCHENECTADY -- The city police department's accident reconstruction team is on the scene of a motor vehicle crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian, according to fire and police officials. Police said the woman, whose name was not immediately released, was struck by one of two vehicles that apparently veered off the road after they collided around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Albany and Hulett Streets in the Hamilton Hill section. She was rushed to Ellis Hospital where she died, said Assistant Police Chief Brian Kilcullen. A second pedestrian was also hit, but escaped serious injury, as did the drivers of the vehicles, Kilcullen said. The three people escaped serious injury were also taken to Ellis Hospital.
