Took the money and bought more groceries than she could with the Food Stamps... A resourceful woman!

NOPE! She didn't buy 'groceries'. It became a police issue. I'm not saying that all food stamp recipients do this. I'm just saying that there are abuses that should be addressed like this one was.

They should make them keep all the receipts and have to prove every last cent was used on food. Being poor shouldn't come with luxuries like 2 shopping carts full of name brand food and top notch cuts of meat like you see every time you go to the market these days. Purchasing products under food stamps should be limited to bread, rice, spam, and water, just enough to survive, maybe that would give them motivation to make something of themselves.

Most of them are just dirtbags expecting a free ride. Some are poor elderly and crippled and for them I have empathy. But the typical dirtbag with 16 tattoos in line at Super Walmart in front of you is buying crap, talking on the cell phone and has some nice 200 dollar sneakers on while I drive a vehicle with 185,000 miles and we cook from scratch. So yeah, I am SICK and tired of being gamed and conned by lowlifes that the demoCRAP party protects and keep on the teet from cradle to grave. I am tired of producing and making while the bums and losers TAKE TAKE TAKE. Maybe I should go on strike.

I no longer think that it is possible.

I live in an urban area.  The rate at which people who live off the system are reproducing compared to those who actually benefit our economy, well I just don't see how we're going to turn this ship around.

It is coming to a point of diminishing returns to try to fix it. The few of us left willing are constantly challenged by the numbers of leaches, the finances of the rich and powerful who enjoy the status quo and the malingerers who are discontented and need to sabotage because they "didn't get picked." Or "didn't get the job" or "didn't get enough backslapping."

Soon there will be old people, poor people, and a few rich people. But then eventually the socialists will eat the rich people for lunch, and all that compromising they (we KNOW who they are) made for a fast buck on the taxpayer dime will mean nothing when they are peaking out over the brim of the cookpot and the water begins to boil!

I know what Christianity is. I don't believe I or anyone on this thread was "preaching" anything, all of a sudden someone starts quoting scripture?
As I've stated before, I'm willing to bet that the users of this website are all supporters of charity in one form or another.
Does a person need to practice Catholicism? What if a person isn't catholic, or perhaps not a Christian at all? What if I'm Jewish?

I know what you mean because I hate it when someone starts quoting the constitution as if it was some kind of holy document .
I think most do support some charity and  most  people even have a conscience -  but it is still amazing how many reasons people  can come up with not to give a sandwich to a hungry kid.  ( moms got tattoos, fancy hairdo and a smartfone  bla bla bla)

Because they are rarely hungry, but the parents are waiting for it to be free so they can spend the bread on a bunch of crap instead.

Here is my point. We do feed "hungry kids" whose parents cannot afford to buy food. We pay for the food stamp program. We also donate to food pantries, many of us, which provide food to those whose need may just be temporary so that they may not be eligible for food stamps. So we don't NEED an excuse not to feed a hungry kid because we are already providing the means for their parents to do so! It is the parents' responsibility to feed their kids when they get hungry. This is not just my opinion, it is the law!
Who are all these "hungry kids" whose parents cannot feed them? In what other developed countries, other than the commie ones, is it condoned to notfeed your kids?
Just because a parent sends a child to the park to get lunch doesn't mean that the child is starving.
