This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. I talked to a couple of muslim co-workers, since I know nothing about this, and they said that they don't think this is an actual religion. They said that both religions are not alike in theory. They think that a conversion or a melting together of the two religions would be impossible. But they seem to think that this is just an innerfaith kind of thing where both religions can come together and understand.
