Police seeking man's identity following road rage incident

On Thursday, May 26, the State Police in Princetown investigated a road rage incident on State Route 30 in the Town of Duanesburg just south of the intersection of Route 20 and Route 30.

The incident started with a male driver pulling out of a driveway in front of an unknown male motorcyclist with a female passenger, according to a police report. After the cyclist slammed on his brakes, said police, he allegedly moved directly behind the car and began gesturing and swearing at the driver of the car. The car driver began to pull off to the side of the road and the cyclist allegedly followed, said police, which lead to the car driver deciding he wanted a more public place before he stopped.

Police said the driver pulled into the parking lot at the Stewart's on Route 20 and Route 30. The cyclist allegedly followed the car into the parking lot and before the car operator could get out, said police, the cyclist punched the male operator in the face. Police said he proceeded to kick the car door closed and allegedly took off his helmet and struck the car operator in the face with his helmet.
