SCHENECTADY -- Police early Wednesday morning raided a house at 811 Bridge St. and took a man into custody in connection with the shooting death of Eddie Stanley, 15, Sunday morning, authorities said. The house is across the street from where Stanley was gunned down after a fight broke out at a house party. Investigators are still at the scene. Neighbors reported waking up to a helicopter hovering over the house and police swarming the residence. A new conference is scheduled for later Wednesday. Good I hope that if it is the shooter that he NEVER sees' the light of day again.
Many years ago when they had the huge raid in Sch'dy, woke up to many helicopters, state police zipping down my street, didn't know what the heck was happening. My kids were young and I was getting them ready to walk to school. I called WGY and asked Don Weeks what was happening : )
Life on the hill is hell.
And sadly has spread to other neighborhoods.
If you have small kids, try to get out of the city if you are able to. Because its only going to get worse.
My one sister just moved out a few weeks ago with my 4 yr old nephew. My other sister who rents an apt is looking to move to Colonie or Rotterdam, she wants to get my niece out of the city ASAP.
Bravo to the SPD for making short work out of this moron. A neighbor on Bridge St! Hopefully, the Mumford shooter, who was part of a lover's triangle, will also be quickly arrested. This State needs to re-institute the death penalty for murders like this.
And people just thought it was to get a handle on the biggest problem the city has- limiting the commissioner of deeds out on the street!

Don't count on DA Carnival Bob to deliver justice...he thinks murderers should go to "therapy", not prison for life...and certainly not to an execution chamber.
