Unfortunately DVR's last statement was correct. Every other day another horrible shooting. It ain't even summer yet! The latest victim is in very grave condition. City DEMS policy of looking the other way on exploding crime, exploding gang violence' of not supporting the neighborhood cop on the beat and installation of cameras is a total failure.
only you shot-heads would take a tragedy like this an turn into a disgusting display of racism and political opportunism... please.. leave the county
Yeah...Politicizing rampant violent crime is the issue, not the politicians that failed to address the violent crime. The governments sole purpose is to protect the individual liberties of it's citizens from those who would infringe upon those liberties. Instead, Schenectady Democrats are ignoring it, and meddling in the local economy by dumping millions of dollars into downtown.
If violent crime isn't a political issue, I don't know what is.

Of course-how dare we blame the DEM morons that have run the City into the ground for 35 straight years? The solution to everything is another camera. And another tax increase to pay some lob hire. Now we have 2 horrible shootings in 3 days. Go back to the Frank Duci administration to demand any accountability. For 8 years pathetic Stratton and his DEM rubber stamps did nothing about crime-nothing about gangs-nothing about quality of life issues. Stay in Clifton Park and praise these idiots.
Maybe we should start to identify the location of the shooting in the title of the post. Gosh maybe even the date.
Saying "Another Shooting" is going to make it difficult for folks to use search feature. After all we have the summer to go yet.
You are so right, Cel. To see a thread entitled "Another shooting" does that mean a new thread today or the title of a thread started in previous years. I have been relying on the number of replies and/or views to guess before I click on it, well, if I haven't heard the news by then
Of course, not enough police attention, not enough attention given by the dem leaders to the neighborhoods, they are too busy blowing the taxpayers' money on gin mills, theaters, bakeries, hair salons, etc.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

A 23-year-old Mumford Street man was shot in the neck Tuesday morning by his girlfriend’s former boyfriend, police said. Riley Ritter is expected to survive, said Public Safety Commissioner Wayne Bennett during a news conference Tuesday night. Ritter underwent emergency surgery at Ellis Hospital to repair a wound to his jugular vein caused by a single bullet. Bennett would not identify the suspect, who is being sought by Schenectady police with assistance from state troopers, state parole and the federal Marshal’s Service. “He is the former boyfriend of the female,” Bennett said. He said the suspect could face fi rst-degree assault and attempted murder charges once apprehended. Ritter was shot while lying in bed in a second-floor apartment of 505 Mumford St. just after 7 a.m. A woman and two children, ages 10 years and 17 months, in the apartment were unharmed, Bennett said. Bennett said the suspect apparently entered the apartment unannounced and shot Ritter. “It appears to be a domestic-related incident, a foiled relationship, jealousy, revenge,” he said. .......................>>>>.......................>>>>........................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00903&AppName=1
