went to mail a letter at post office on Jay earlier today and saw the streets all blocked around city hall for farmers market I guess.

Then I get home to read about a 15 year old shot and killed in Mt. Pleasant.

Not uncommon to hear of shooting on the Hill, but it is spreading : (

So all is good in the area of the "Proctors Paradise"  but our neighborhoods are war zones.

PROCTORS = millions and millions of dollars, broadway shows, farmers markets, no taxes, paved road, new sidewalks, cops walking the beat

Our neighborhoods = vacant houses, crime and more crime, streets are a mess, high taxes

This is evidence of a continued renaissance in our city. Only natering naybobs of negativity see anything bad happening, and they need to be rounded up to be mentally evaluated and imprisoned by our politically charged police agencies for things to really be better.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

My prayers go out to this young mans family and friends. Now we will hear he was in the "wrong place at the wrong time" I never understood that saying as what the hel* is the wrong place or the wrong time. From what the paper said he was just leaving when shots rang out.

A basketball player, maybe going on to college, had a girlfriend and its all over. Parents grieving.

Remember when the 11 yr old was shot in Jerry Burrell Park? It was on the news for a week and now its forgotten.

When is city hall and the county legislatures going to wake up?  To heck with giving out money to improve facades of buildings downtown and worrying about parking on Union St. Our city has CHILDREN getting shot and killed.

Oh now McCarthy and the higher ups will promise more police presence. Sure. When ever there is a shooting on the hill  we see cops for  a day or two and then its "business" as usual.

When is the next city council meeting and the next county legislature meeting?

I ask all of you to consider attending both. We should make up signs and march around city hall and in front of the county building.

Why don't we get together here and make a plan to really do this. We need to be heard.

Right now they have more important jobs to do which is to stop people from getting "Commissioner of Deeds" stamps at city hall so that they can't run against the one true party and its baby parties in this county. You will hear about it soon.

I know this boy and this was truely tragic.  Its senseless and stupid the way things are going in these neighborhoods.  But yet, no one really does anything to stop it.  The parents cry out about it but yet they know what their kids are doing and they dont stop them from doing it.  There isnt a kid out there that had a giant bubble around them that makes them invincible.

Nice. That's why the kid is dead in the first place.

May I suggest a new avatar for you?

This is the statement from Bumble I was referring to half wit. I'm willing to bet that the ones who shot that poor kid did it with an unregistered gun bought on the street too. You're just another anti gun nut.

Ditto Shadow.

Tommy, I'm a 51 yr old Mom and have gone to the shooting range and shot rifles at targets. Responsible gun owners do NOT go out on the street waving their guns around and shooting at people. Responsible gun owners keep their guns locked up.

The guns being used on the streets are ILLEGAL and are bought ILLEGALLY.

No, I'm not an "anti gun nut", but blanket statements like that, do nothing to further the cause of personal safety.
I'd be wiling to bet that you're of of those that believe that secrit muslin in the what house is here to take our guns away, when in reality, there is more freedom to own the firearms of your choice, than there was 8 years ago.

Yes, I own firearms.
Responsibly, and legally.

What you REALLY should be railing against, is the fact that New York State, unlike most others, has no "castle doctrine", which gives you the actual right to defend your property.

By all means though, waste your time worrying about whether a couple of faggots want a marriage license or not.
