Police seeking public’s help with burglary probe ROTTERDAM — A man hiding in the woods behind a Duanesburg Road residence was arrested this morning by Rotterdam police, according to a police release issued today. At around 1:38 a.m., police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 619 Duanesburg Rd. Following a brief investigation and search of the area, Delmorris Sampson, Jr. was located hiding in the woods behind the residence. Police took Sampson into custody and charged him with second-degree burglary, a class C felony. Sampson was arraigned in front of Judge Kevin Mercoglan in Rotterdam Town Court and sent to the Schenectady County Jail with bail set at $25,000. Rotterdam police are asking the public for help as they continue their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact investigators at 335-7397.
