The Real Romney Captured on Tape Turns Out to Be a Sneering Plutocrat
Quoted Text
"The revelations in this video come to me as a genuine shock. I have never hated Romney. I presumed his ideological makeover since he set out to run for president was largely phony, even if he was now committed to carry through with it, and to whatever extent he'd come to believe his own lines, he was oblivious or naïve about the damage he would inflict upon the poor, sick, and vulnerable. It seems unavoidable now to conclude that Romney's embrace of Paul Ryanism is born of actual contempt for the looters and moochers, a class war on behalf of his own class."

I'd rather have a law repealed LEGALLY than created by executive order bypassing congress whenever he doesn't get his way.
Can't disagree. What bothers me is that Romney said he would balance the budget by eliminating programs that aren't needed......who determines if they are needed? What he thinks is not needed might not be the same opinion as others or even the general taxpaying, voting public
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

And as we know, the opinions of the general taxpaying voting public that voted in the "tea party" republicans don't count, because their opinions and recommendations are "unachievable" as determined by you.
It was the day Romney lost the election! That’s one of the reactions to Mitt Romney’s 47 percent tape.
~ Forbes: “Political suicide?
~ Bloomberg: “This is an utter disaster for Romney.”
~ NY Times’ : “The idea that half of Americans are just grifters is grotesque. If this is real, it’s very, very ugly.”
~ Washington Post: “What the Republican presidential nominee said is reprehensible and unbecoming a man who claims to want to be president of all Americans.”
~ TPM’s Josh Marshall: ” It’s rare when the impact of some gaffe or embarrassment or revelation isn’t overstated on first blush. But this strikes me as possibly that rare exception. This tape strikes me as absolutely devastating.”
~ Slate: “This is Tea Party rhetoric churned into something new and stupid.”

I understand, that's why it's IMPERATIVE to elect people that LISTEN to their constituents to the Congress. Senators and Representatives make the laws and change the laws - not the way the current POTUS is doing business. We need to get people like the tax and spend dems out of office, replace them with officials that LISTEN to the people they represent. Not Pelosi, Reid, Schumer - they don't.
You all want Ron Paul ideology in govt - that's cool - but put them where they'll make a difference - in the law MAKING branch of govt. Put them in the houses that (should!) control the spending. Put them in the office that controls our armed forces. Put them in office to re-write tax codes so everyone pays a %. Put them in position to stop the POTUS from repealing or creating laws that will damage the United States. The President shouldn't make these laws, congress should. Send a message to Washington that we MUST be heard - OF the People, FOR The People, BY the people, not King Almighty. They'll sanction or kill the programs "not needed" or full of wasted spending. Stop electing people that are only out for their own glory, friends and family. I don't give a sh*t what party they are - if it's wrong, vote them OUT. Right now, Obama needs to be voted OUT, re-electing him will only send him a message (in his self centered egotistical brain) that what he's doing is "ok" and "what the people want" - and that's NOT the case, I don't think, for an overwhelming majority of AMERICANS.
The only way he can win is with entitlements, promises and mandates that are basically programs that MOST American's dont want - like yourself.
I never said, nor will I say, Romney is the answer to the country's problems. The answers are in Congress - that's where attention needs to be focused. Voting for Romney will send the message that we're fed up and we're not going to take it anymore.
I can't believe I typed all that - I need less caffeine. But it's the way I truly feel.
New Campaign Strategy, Romney to Have Mouth Wired Shut Until November
Quoted Text
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In what his campaign described today as a bold strategy to insure victory in the Presidential contest, Republican nominee Mitt Romney will undergo a procedure to have his mouth wired shut until Tuesday, November 6th. The decision reportedly was made in response to the release earlier in the day of rare video footage showing Mr. Romney saying what he really thinks. In the video, Mr. Romney blasts the American people for being “insanely obsessed with food, clothing, and shelter,” and asserts that many of them are “too lazy to hide their money overseas.” At another point in the video, Mr. Romney refers to his own hardscrabble childhood: “I was never handed anything in life. If I wanted to cut a gay kid’s hair off, I had to pin him to the ground myself.” Romney campaign aides were upbeat about the mouth-wiring procedure today, with some saying they wished they had thought of it months ago. When asked about the procedure at a campaign stop in Ohio, Mr. Romney said, “Mmmnff ffnn mmfff nnnnnff.”

Again, the SPIN DOCTOR uses his logic. I believe my comments were party neutral.......bet you are good with a hoola-hoop DOG!!!

"What is so potentially deadly about this video is the timing, because it comes as the Romney campaign was already viewed to be behind and in crisis. Back in late July, we wrote that the presidential contest had entered halftime with Obama leading, 14-13. Now after the 3rd Quarter (the Ryan pick, the conventions, and post-convention period), Obama has scored two uncontested touchdowns, bringing it to 28-13. And now we head to the 4th Quarter (the debates)."

"Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock out the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it is victorious." - Author Unknown
"Recalling that a good chunk of the 47 percent who don't pay income taxes are Romney supporters -- especially of course seniors (who might well 'believe they are entitled to heath care,' a position Romney agrees with), as well as many lower-income Americans (including men and women serving in the military) who think conservative policies are better for the country even if they're not getting a tax cut under the Romney plan. So Romney seems to have contempt not just for the Democrats who oppose him, but for tens of millions who intend to vote for him."

JAY LENO: Well, according to the Labor Department, unemployment fell from 8.3 to 8.1 percent last month. But that was because only, that's because, rather, 368,000 Americans gave up looking for work. And today, President Obama said that's a step in the right direction, and he is encouraging more Americans to give up looking for work so the numbers will come down a little bit.
In reality, most of the drop in the unemployment rate since its 2009 peak is due to a decline in the labor force.
In fact, according to Zero Hedge, the real unemployment rate is currently 11.7 percent.
Mr. Romney is not the first presidential candidate to be caught speaking candidly at a fund-raiser. Four years ago during the Democratic primary campaign, The Huffington Post published Mr. Obama’s remarks at a San Francisco fund-raiser, saying small-town Pennsylvania voters, bitter over their economic circumstances, “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them” as a way to explain their frustrations.
DAILY CALLER ~ "The Democrats think Romney just self-destructed by pointing out, um, THEIR ENTIRE STRATEGY
'There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with hi...m, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.'
I can see why Democrats are so offended. How dare Mitt Romney say they’re dependent on the government? Only Democrats get to say they’re dependent on the government!
Has everybody already forgotten “Julia”?
If you haven’t seen the whole “Life of Julia” slideshow on Obama’s campaign site, or if you need a refresher, check it out. The entire premise is that you’re dependent on the government from cradle to grave, and The Evil Mitt Romney is going to take it all away from you and make you fend for yourself.
That’s Obama’s reelection message: “Vote for me or Romney will take away all the free goodies you’ve got coming to you! By the way, can you believe he called you a mooch?” The Democrats based their whole convention around the premise that you need Obama just to survive. (Well, that and killing Bin Laden. Which they suddenly don’t feel like talking about anymore, for some odd reason…)
The economy is collapsing. Our embassies are being overrun. Our diplomats are being murdered, and our own government is blaming it on the First Amendment. And Obama doesn’t know what to do about any of it, except for his usual plan of lying his a** off. So he and his enablers in the media hope you’ll be distracted by Romney’s “gaffe” of criticizing the Democrats’ strategy. They hope you’ll be offended that Romney pointed out what the Dems have been telling you your whole life: that you need the government to provide for you, that you can’t go a single day without a handout. They hope you’re as credulous as the people who voted for them last time."
