Yup, they did. The power to tax makes you "the government".
Yup, and the power to 'legislate laws' makes you 'the government'.

Yup, they did. The power to tax makes you "the government".
The power to tax makes you "the government".. Thanks for the info. That means the FBI isn't the Govt, the EPA isn't the GOVT, the Cop isn't the GOVT, The IRS isn't the GOVT, The Post office isn't the GOVT, Obama isn't the government, and about a few thousand others.
Glad you cleared that up Cic.

The power to grant authority to an unelected bureaucracy whether the EPA or Metroplex, make you "the government". So yes box, unelected, undemocratic federal, state, and local agencies is "the government"

So your previous definition is now changing? You seem to be unsure just who this GOVERNMENT that you hate so much, really is... The EPA can't tax... so they aren't the govt. and they can't grant powers to an unelected bureaucracy so the EPA is NOT the govt. Again, you seem unclear of your definition of this hated govt... you are only sure that you hate it... (what ever it is)

An Asheville, N.C. man has enlisted the aid of North Carolina Republican Sen. Richard Burr to investigate a visit he received fromtwo armed Environmental Protection Agency officials and a local police officer.
Burr has been in touch with the man and started an inquiry into the incident with EPA.
According to the Ashville Citizen-Times, Larry Keller claims the EPA targeted him after he sent an email on April 27 to former EPA Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz, who resigned on April 30 over comments he made comparing the administration’s enforcement policy to Roman crucifixions
EPA enforcement powers include fines, sanctions, and other measures. Hmmmm....Armed EPA Agents, the ability to fine and regulate - yup "the government". If two armed citizens showed up to a home with a police officer, most likely the police officer would arrest the armed men, not assist them.
You're slippin down that slope Cicero... first it was the power to tax... then you changed that definition... then the tax SUDDENLY changes to a fine. So the power to fine defines Govt??? or is that just a side line?
First the EPA isn't The GOvt... now it is but only if a fine is the same as a tax. I wonder how many posts it will take Cic to get to the end of this EVER CHANGING STORY about THE GOVT.

LOL...Changing the story...You're funny. I can't help it if you don't know what government is.
Here is a start, it's is a link to an A-Z list of federal government authorities to help you find that age old question man has struggled with since the beginning of time - what is the meaning of government.
Hopefully, over time, I can reveal more enlightening information about the meaning of government, and you can come to realize what it is and it's purpose. You can find you zen moment and become 'one with government'.LMAO
Certainly NOT the best... but she kicks the @sses of those Righties in the pic above... all by herself.

I just came across a report from the Tax Justice Network that estimates that money (not yachts, jets, and so on) hidden overseas is between $21 to $32 trillion! That's as much as the annual economy of the US and Japan! Why do they do this? For the same reason Romney is running for president. Greed.

Governor Romney gave a great speech and set the tone for what I predict will be a successful General Election campaign,

Some of the “preposterously wealthy” Americans who do use such “schemes” include Senators Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.), Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.), Frank Lautenberg (D., N.J.), and John Kerry (D., Mass.). That should be music to Reid’s ears, since his transparency crusade might be a little easier to pull off within his own party.
