He pays less in taxes than the 14 Mexicans who mow his lawn.
Now, think about this. If those 14 Mexicans (and I'm assuming that they're legal, no notice was brought that they aren't, and since they're paying taxes, I assume they're legal), are paying their taxes, what money are they paying those taxes with? Are they paying into Workers' Compensation, Social Security, and FICA (Federal Insurance CONTRIBUTION Act, you know, Medicare)? All of these have parts that are equally paid BY THEIR EMPLOYER, which in this case would be Mitt. Also, the money that these 14 people are paying in taxes??? Oh, don't forget, if they didn't have that job, that would be Mitt's money, so he's actually, in a way, paying those taxes directly out of his pocket. I mean, if he didn't have them employed, it would be that much less that would be going into the tax system to benefit these programs, right? So, by employing them, he is increasing the contributions into the tax system. He is paying EVERY DIME that the 14 Mexicans are paying into the system, oh, and their take-home pay, but let's just forget about that and see what's coming out of people's paychecks, not the person actually writing them.
There could be many reasons Romney doesn’t want to release his tax returns. Here are just a few:
He’s a lot wealthier than his $250 million in claimed wealth. He’s been hiding money from his church. He’s lying and he did pay zero in taxes. His wealth is being sheltered overseas – in fact it’s possible that he’s sheltered so much of his wealth that he had zero income for the 10 years Harry Reid referenced. His tax returns will prove that his tenure at Bain ended long after 1999. He knows that wealth inequality is a hot button issue and he wants to divert our attention. He’s done something illegal (unlikely, since the laws were designed for him). He doesn’t want us asking why he should be allowed to pay just 13% of his income in taxes when the majority of us pay at least twice that. He doesn’t want the media to scrutinize his charitable deductions – where does the Mormon Church spend its money? All or any of the above.

Most likely these 14 Mexicans don't work for Mitt... they work for a lawn services company who hires legal or illegal immigrants to cut the Mitts lawn.

Obama Campaign Offers Romney a Deal on Tax Returns
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina writes a letter to his counterpart, Matt Rhodes, at the Romney campaign:
"I am writing to ask again that the Governor release multiple years of tax returns, but also to make an offer that should address his concerns about the additional disclosures. Governor Romney apparently fears that the more he offers, the more our campaign will demand that he provide. So I am prepared to provide assurances on just that point: if the Governor will release five years of returns, I commit in turn that we will not criticize him for not releasing more--neither in ads nor in other public communications or commentary for the rest of the campaign."

If that's the case, then you couldn't turn around and say that he's hiring illegals, either. In fact, he is going to a company, who he expects is paying the appropriate rates / taxes to have a service performed on his land. I wonder if Barry makes sure to check the credentials of everyone he's ever worked with, ESPECIALLY in Chicago politics, to make sure they were fully on the up-and-up.
Republicans can’t defeat the actual Barack Obama on the merits for innumerable reasons, so they’ve decided instead to run against a completely fictional President. His name is Barack X and he’s an Islamo-Socialist revolutionary who’s coming for your guns, raising your taxes, slashing the military, apologizing to other countries and taking his cues from Europe — or worse yet, Saul Alinksy!” Bill Maher

I think you posted that already, you know the saying, the mind is the 1st thing to go

Yeah I was right post 455 on the Obama thread
It's not easy being me... as the only voice of reason on a board of mostly right wingers is a huge undertaking! Now if I can just find out where I left my glasses and my car keys....
