...disproportionate emphasis on Palestine and Israel.

I'm not focused on either of the two...I'm focused on the comments by the best offer of the Repub party.....

and as for the 196.....

Could Depend on what your position may be on questions such as Sri Lanka, Cyprus, Somalia and the status of portions of their territories and/or how you may rank autonomous territories / dependencies of a number of countries, one would generally, by UN standards, today say that there are 233 countries and country dependencies. See http://www.erepublic.org and/or the U.S. Library of Congress' GlobalWay at http://www.loc.gov .

So you are focused on a comment made by a presidential candidate, about nations you are not focused on, but nations whose territorial disputes have a huge impact on America.

I'll go back to my original response to your post.  Who cares about what the Palestinians think about what the United States Presidential candidates have to say about their territorial disputes.  And more importantly, WHY DO AMERICANS CARE ABOUT HOW ISRAEL AND PALESTINE RESOLVE THEIR TERRITORIAL DISPUTES?

NOPE, WRONG, NOT MY WORDS, YOURS......but BEAUTIFUL TWIST...you should run for office becuase you have the same useless talent as them.
Like I've said...trying to explain ANYTHING to you is a waste of time. Almost the same as chatting with DVOR.
You don't get it.
You never will.
You'll just twist and shout no matter what it is.

PS - Just for clarity, I used the word "comments"....in other words, more than just in an area that you are trying to pin me down to..."COMMENTS"...not just in the middle east...how about England, and how about at home, and how about his denials....those are all the "COMMENTS" that Iam using for my evaluation. And ffor the record, do yo believe it is okay for a Presidential candidate to go overseas (anywhere) and make policy comments when he is not the elected President of our country......I DON'T !!!!

For the record, I don't care what a presidential candidate or anybody else for that matter has to say about foreign policy.  We used to have this thing called CONGRESS that was functional and prevented ONE PERSON'S comments to have any impact on public policy because public policy was determined by the representatives of the people in Congress.

I repeat!!!  I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PALESTINIAN/ISRAELI TERRITORIAL DISPUTES.  I don't care what Romney says, I don't care what Carter says, I don't care what Clinton says, I don't care what GWB says.  I don't care what they say, because I don't care about the issue, it isn't an American problem, it is an Israeli/Palestinian problem.  Romney is pandering for the Jewish vote - I GET IT!  I DON'T CARE!!!

Cic just defined himself as an ISOLATIONIST!

It applies when you ask him about the environment, about the poor, about jobs, about veterans...
HE JUST DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF IT.  HE JUST CARES ABOUT HIMSELF

How about the war machine that makes us non-isolationists....those would be the troops sent to 'make nice'...
or even to be police forces or security forces or food forces or water forces or capitalist forces the list is
endless....certainly not isolationists....so who gets to decide what is worthy and what is not....for being a
non-isolationist that is....???

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

What's isolationist about staying out of other countries problems, I would say his stance is more non-interventionist, big difference by the way.

isolationism
the policy or doctrine of isolating one's country from the affairs of other nations by declining to enter into
alliances, foreign economic commitments, international agreements, etc., seeking to devote the entire
efforts of one's country to its own advancement and remain at peace by avoiding foreign entanglements
and responsibilities.

non-interventionist
abstention by a nation from interference in the affairs of other nations or in those of its own political subdivisions.

Well, I may be totally confused, but:
this thread was about Romney electable as Pres 2012
my comments were about his actions while abroad showing what I believe to be that he is not the right person for the position (note:  my opinion)
and that his actions tied with all his other lies, and personal wealth focus are enough for me to make up my mind (early) that I cannot/will not vote for him
and his actions while overseas are bordering on representing the US with policy making comments, that are irresponsible and he is not in a position to make.....
so with that said...
someone else (I'll refer to them as Chuck Berry) has taken this thread in a different direction with their frequent method of TWIST-n-SHOUT.....
so back to what I believe (in my opinion) was the intent of this thread, I continue to hear more "mistakes" as Mr. Romney moves around the world. With each report I read and hear, it just validates my personal choice....not Romney....but I WILL VOTE, unlike Chuck!!!!

Wow, box redefined isolationism right before our very eyes!!  Not getting involved in a nations political affairs is ISOLATIONISM. Hmmmmm....That's funny, when Iran, Russia, or China get's involved in a sovereign nations political affairs, U.S. media an U.S. politicians call it MEDDLING.  So when America gets involved it is called "engaging", but when other nations get involved it is called "meddling".  The United States should repeal all laws that protect our political system from foreign involvement, since we are all for foreign influence.  Maybe other nations care about the United States and want to influence our elections and domestic policies.  You know, they may want to decide what is best for the American people.

So you want to post your opinion without anybody countering your opinion?  You should start a blog and I'm sure people will seek out joebxr's blog in search of your valued political opinions.

There are a lot of crybabies out there when their opinions are challenged.

You want to challenge my opinion...I welcome a discussion.......you didn't do that. You took the thread in "your" direction instead. Typical when people can't add anything contsructive to a discussion, they sidetrack it for their own benefit. Nothing in my comments was directed at foreign policy and what you were bringing to the forefront...mine was directed at the actions of the Rep Pres candidate....sorry you can't comprehend that.
So how about getting back onto the thread topic instead! You can start your own "GRUMPY and MISERABLE" thread and be glad to follow you there instead.

Wahhhh....Wahhhhh...Wahhhhh....

There was nothing constructive added to the thread when you posted the link about his comments in Israel.  How the hell do you say it had nothing to do with foreign policy - WHEN ROMNEY'S COMMENTS WERE ABOUT ISREAL AND PALESTINE!  Are you delusional?  Do you even remember what you post?  I can't comment about the CONTEXT of Romney's actions?  Or is the only acceptable reply on this thread have to be 'I think Romney's great, and Obama sucks, and Democrats bad, Republicans good or visa versa?

You offered an opinion and a link about Romney's Palestinian comments in an attempt to damage his character.  Your post makes it clear that you are not going to vote for Romney because of comments made overseas.  Which I have NO PROBLEM with - it is all fair game - if that is important to you, that's fine.  But you can't cry when myself and many others don't give a sh*t about the Israel/Palestine issue and are not persuaded about how some Palestinians feel about Romney's comments.  For a growing number of people, they are sick of the perpetual involvement and money spent babysitting Israel and Palestine.

So you can continue gnashing your teeth about Mitt Romney's comments in England, Israel, and maybe now even in Poland.  For many of us, we will continue to not give a sh*t.

Buenas Noches!

My post didn't reflect your definition.  Still in favor for trading with Israel and Palestine.  Not calling for trade sanctions. That would be isolationism.
