At the last Olympics...

If the news is preoccupied with Olympic events... there will be much less time to broadcast the sure to
be devastating Romney tax returns.

Timing!

That is becuase it was in Vancouver, and it could at least be watched LIVE.  These are in England, people will know the results before it airs.  Unless they set their alarm clocks for 4am to watch the Men's Lightweight Double Skull live.

I'm sure that is your "opinion", but, as often is the case, the facts don't agree:

MOST WATCHED WINTER OLYMPICS IN HISTORY:
1. Lillehammer, 1994,       204 million
2. Vancouver, 2010,        190 million
3. Salt Lake City, 2002,    187 million
T4. Torino, 2006,             184 million
T4. Albertville, 1992,        184 million
T4. Nagano, 1998,           184 million

If your opinion were correct, then Lillehammer in '94 should be far behind Vancouver and Salt Lake City
since Lillenhammer is one times zone behind London.

"The strongest case against Bain capitalism is a metaphor: Mitt Romney made a fortune swapping equity
for debt. That's what we've done for the past 30 years in this country, turning a great many of our assets
into deficits for short-term gain. We need to do the opposite now."

Tax The POOR!

'The Romney Plan'

Romney's Winners and Losers:

People making between $10,000 and $20,000 would receive an average tax increase of $174,
while those below $10,000 would face an average tax increase of $113.

People making over $1 million a year would receive an average tax cut of $250,000
in 2015 — an increase of nearly 12 percent in their after-tax income — on top of the large
tax cuts they would get from making the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts first enacted under
President Bush permanent, which themselves would provide average tax reductions
for these people of about $130,000 a year

This board is always griping about "higher taxes"... Just curious... are you closer to the
$1million group...
or are you closer to the 'under 20,000 group?

~Taking from those who 'have not'...
to give to those who 'have'.

~Taking away food or heat from some...
while giving a new vacation home every year, to those who already have 10 of them.

~Taking from those who can LEAST AFFORD IT...
while giving to those who can MOST AFFORD IT.

For those on this board who say "it makes no difference which party wins in November...
Read the above post.  If you're a millionaire, you'll get considerably richer.
If you're on minimum wage or among the working poor... Get ready to pay more.

It matters a great deal who wins in November.

I don't disagree....WHAT I DO DISAGREE WITH is the purported 'better elect' that decides what is 'fair share'....that's a HUGE
pill to swallow....

I don't think anyone in either party is capable of deciding 'fair share'....and I'm not ready to let them...

when I'm an invalid and have no choice as to my own perception on MY FAIR SHARE then I'll have no choice but to listen and
accept my valuation....

until that time, I'll tell you when you've met my standards....that's what a leader does....THEY DON'T MAKE VICTIMS

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

As Obama has said, we all need to have a little skin in the game in proportion to your income, everyone needs to pay their fair share.

How can you have it both ways??????
ROMNEY asserts no involvement after 1999, but......................
Claim: Romney says that he created 100,000 jobs in the private sector but that Obama lost 100,000 jobs in the auto industry.
Findings: Not only is his claim of creating 100,000 jobs at Bain untenable, because it includes jobs created after 1999, but also his assertion that 100,000 jobs have been lost in the auto industry “on the president’s watch” does not add up. Auto jobs have actually grown under Obama.
So if he had no involvment after 1999, how can he claim the success of job creation that happened after that time????

Quoted Text
— a news release was issued by Bain Capital in July 1999 quoting Romney on the departure of Bain partners. The news release described him as being on “part-time leave of absence.”

— the 1999-2001 annual reports of Staples and Marriott International, on whose boards Romney served, continued to list him as heading Bain and various Bain funds. The descriptions are based on a questionnaire that the board director must personally provide.
