Jay Street fire Schenectady firefighters search all floors of an apartment building above the Open Door Book Store on Jay Street after a small fire was discovered on the second floor early Saturday. Fire officials said there was minor damage to the apartment, apparently to an exterior door frame, and water damage to the book store. It was not clear Saturday the extent of the store’s damage.
