It has been obvious for months that the nayboobs -- and specifically MikeChristine, MobileTerminal , GrahamBonnet, Cicero, et al --- are racists and bigots of the worst kind. They stand shoulder to shoulder with the worst racists produced by Germany in the 1930's, the deep south during the 50's and 60's and every other spot on the globe where one group of people has sought to oppress and eliminate another group of people.
That is why they look down on Schenectady -- Schenectady is a diverse community -- with many wonderful people from all over the globe. Thisdiversity is what makes Schenectady good today -- and will make it stronger and better in the future.

I hope people realize that the neighborhood with the largest black population suffered the worst from all this neglect and the dumping of undesirables, etc. Longtime Hamilton Hill residents are more upset than I am over what has been allowed to happen on "the hill". They can hardly be called racist if they are black themselves or mixed-race families, can they? Anyway, I know this because I live in Schenectady and go to the hill on occasion to see people there that I know.

 Black people are not going to vote for McCarthy. He is as popular on HH as in every other neighborhood he overtaxed and allowed to deteriorate. Albany Street used to be a business district before Goofy and Company dumped everything on 2 blocks Downtown. |

After all the lies about job creation and how great Downtown is cold reality sets in. Olender's closes after 109 years. Thank you Death Ray and DEM morons ruining our County economy! Hope that idiot DEM tax cheer leader Leesa Peerazzo was there today. The worst City Council candidate. She said that high taxes don't discourage businesses nor home sales. |

Olender's closing speaks more to the particular problems with that individual firm's business plan and the furniture/bedding business in general than it does to anything else. Just driving by the store front for the past few years, one was NOT enticed to stop and come in. While I am sad to see any business close, this closing was inevitable and - my bet is - it will lead to something bigger and better moving in. |

And how much free money were they handed, just like all the other business in town to fix up the front of their store? And how much of that money that was handed to others was taken out of the pockets of the Olender family? Oh, who cares, it was only a family owned business that succeeded for over 100 years, and came to Schenectady to find its final resting place (ironic for a mattress sales place). |

Exactly what Death Ray said "bad business plan". They should have made a bigger contribution to the machine. This will make a bigger foot print for Death Ray to shove in his mouth. He can expand Gillen's Gulch! The last major downtown store has closed after 109 years. Thank you County DEM united "planners". |

That is a great location and with the vacant lot next door -- the two properties could be marketed for a completely new upscale retail/office/residential building.
No one is going to touch that location without massive government subsidies. That entire block is a disaster, and no one is going to risk their own money in it. |
