CBS 6 Staff

SCHENECTADY-- An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the body of a man found in a residence on the 1700 block of Broadway Tuesday afternoon, though preliminary indications are that his death is not considered suspicious.

The 32-year-old man, whose identity was not released, was found face down in the dwelling and there was drug paraphernalia near his body, police said.

It was unclear if the dead man lived at the home and if any other people reside in the home.

Police said they may release additional details after the autopsy is completed Wednesday.

A druggie.

Gee, wasn't it nice back in the day when money was spent in the neighborhoods and no money downtown.  Remember when the city spent so much money on Operation Crackdown and crime plummeted for quite a while after that.  Those 100+ druggies rounded up in a pre-dawn raid.  Those were the good days of the city.

But someone's son, brother, husband, or father : (

No matter what our stance on drugs whether to legalize them or not, what the legal consequences are, its very sad when people feel they need them, become addicted and end up in jail or dead.

My cousin is addicted to so many drugs both illegal and legal, he is on the highest dose of xanax that can be prescribed, tons of other prescribed medications and heroin and MJ. He also drinks all the time. He's been to rehab and now refuses to go. He's been arrested for domestic abuse against his partner, and welfare and SSI pays all his bills. I don't know how his body can handle it all. My aunt who was a saint went through hell with him, he was stealing from her and abusive to many. My aunt died from cancer, I think she was so very, very tired. I just wish she could have seen him straighten up before she passed : (

I heard from an officer that there were several shots fired in the city this past weekend and his expression was "Most of them don't make the paper."

Bravo democraps. Your welfare schemes have paid great dividends in bringing lots of people here to screw over the middle class.

There are many business owners and residents that can verify what this officer said.

But what I find MOST humorous is that when you call the spd.......you get an answering machine and you have to leave a message!! BIZARE!!!

Gun shots can be heard in every neighborhood of the City. If the Gazetto printed every time gun shots were heard it would interfere with their real agenda, cheer leading for Metrograft, ignoring DEM padding payrolls/crushing tax hikes and jazz reviews. Crime in the City is way up from 10 years ago and no amount of misinformation from the dupe here will change the facts on the ground.

No they didn't. But they would rather ignore it and like all good liberals pretend that the evil animals are not controlling the streets and that the city isn't falling into pieces more and more each day. They would rather offer up hind-licking champagne toasts to celebrities like John Paul and Bobby Lame-mozzi and act like all was peachy for the suffering middle class. Maybe Nero didn't set the fire, but he sure fiddled while Rome burned.

whatever --- the answers to the problem are clearly more complicated then simple folks like us can articulate, and calling people names certainly does not help your case. the mallozzis had nothing to do with this... i understand your hate for them, as they sued you, but dragging them into this is just juvenile.

Well Dave, it is those suckling the taxpayer teet so vigorously that have bankrupted the county taxpayers. I don't hate anyone, but I call it what it is- corporate welfare for the beautiful people. Not a lot different than in high school where the popular kids got better grades and got picked for the teams in gym class. Except this is costing hundreds of millions and bankrupting our taxpayers while the city fills up with woodchucks who are takers.
