There it was, buried on the obituary page, a tiny news report about a major story, small print title at the very very bottom of the page..  The gazette didn't put it on their website, other than the e-edition (which is a mirror of the hard copy paper as opposed to a hyperlink).

A major vandalism spree downtown yesterday morning as rush hour was starting.

A city (of course) resident smashed windows at KFC (location of the dinnertime gun point robbery a while back), Olenders, Bangkok Bistro, Bow Tie Cinema, Proctors, and three offices.   The guy was arrested with a rock still in his hand.

Yep, the city is improving.   What with the stabbing and gun point robbery of a cab driver just one day before, yep, signs of good things happening in the city---these are the fruits of jacking up the taxes on financially struggling homeowners and giving the money to millioniares.

Last neighborhood to clear out, hope that neighborhood's residents remember to turn out the lights.

Watch DV respond with typing the word "yawn" or something similiar.  Never a comment about the truth, the increasing taxes coupled with loss of vital services, increasing crime, increasing blight because people are fleeing the city in droves.  No response to explai WHY virtually no houses in the city are selling, can't even provide a list of houses that have sold in the past year in some attempt to try to prove that people are moving into the city

Every road to a renaissance has its bumps and DT Schitnecteddy is far superior to Saratoga!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I don't believe this story. Death Ray has repeatedly stated that there is no crime Downtown-lol. KFC was also the cite of a morning stabbing last year. Where are the camera's? They worked so well n the Bombers shotgun blasts. The entire corrupt house is collapsing and no good kick is needed. The smart DEMS have already taken a powder.

IT WAS HUGE!!! It should have made front page!!! If this ever happened in saratoga, it would have been on channedl 6, 10 and 13!!

But it has become such common place in schenectady, that they bury it.

Something the democons can raise their head and be proud of!!!

The real story here isn't the vandalism.

The city - and it's mostly inept leadership is not to blame for every crazy out there.

The real story is the Gazette "hiding" it.

The Gazetto had an article a few weeks ago about the increasing amount of graffiti and how something needs to be done about it. How about this Gazette, why don't you report the crimes and maybe the 'news' will spread. When you hiding a story as a little blip, you're adding to the problem.

The Gazetto is not interested in any news. They have devolved into a cheer leading rag for Metrograft. The fact that they removed Schenectady from the masthead speaks volumes. They purposely ignore crimes, businesses that flee Downtown and the lack of any increase in Downtown property tax receipts. With them it's all about lollipops, facades and jazz happenings.

The city is a sh!thole! Anyone with eyes, ears and a half a brain can figure that out. And although this administration is not 'solely' responsible for every crack pot.....again.....if it happened in saratoga it would be on and in every media outlet in the area!! It would be a travesty!!! NOT SO IN THE CITY OF SCHENECTADY!!! It is an everyday occurrance.

A few years back, there were folks who vandalized the decorative horses in saratoga and that was news for at couple of weeks. Why? Because it was a travesty!! NOT SO IN SCHENECTADY!!

What'd I tell ya?   OK, we all know him so well that we know he typed this just because I said he would,

He doesn't say much anymore.  He never engages in intelligent conversation about the city.  He never engages in conversatoin about the high crim in the neighborhoods, nor why he cheers for the financially struggling people to pay the taxes of the millioniares, he never engages in intelligent conversations based on the FACTS, such as no one is buying a house in the city, and people trying to sell are unable to sell.

Heck, he can't even comment on this vandalism spree downtown.

Just keep clicking on the threads, reads the messages, and knows that there is nothing of substance to dispute the facts.   So he avoids talking about all these undisputable undeniable facts.  Pretty soon, DV aka SB will be totally gone, from the boards anyway.  Perhaps he'll resurrect a month or so later under yet another name, still shaking the pom poms for the city, try to change his style (wording, sentence structure, or whatever descriptions can be said) but for sure, he'll trip up and we'll all know it's DV wearing another disguise.

Add churches to that list. A beautiful Tudor Church on Union St, with pews for 300, can be yours for only $199,000! In this "renaissance" we don't build churches-we try and sell them. The implosion continues and in this case we can't blame DEM record taxes.

for the record -- I only post under this name -- so .. you are greatly mistaken if you think I post under any other names ..

and .. for the record ..  most of you are a bunch of pathetic hopeless losers with nothing better to do than whine and complain ..

the few people who want to have a serious discussion of the issues have pretty much gone away or -like me - have gotten bored with your nonsense   ..

What nonsense?    Are you claiming that reports of ever increasing tasxes are just a bunch of nonsense?????    Well?    Yes or No?
How about the crime rate.   Are you saying that the reports of crime are just nonsense?    Yes or No?
How about people trying to flee the city, are those reports just nonsense?   Or are they the truth.
How about reports that people do NOT want to buy in the city?   How about houses sitting unsold after a year on the market with continual reductions in asking price, are you going to claim that is just nonsense?   Well?

DV, everyone is willing to have intelligent conversations.   You, however, avoid engaging in discussions because uou can't admit the truth there is no renaissance.

Let's have a  discussion.   Let's talk about the city.  Can you explain how a city where people are putting their houses up for slae just to get out is a sign of renaissance?   Tell us where the mirale is.  Tell us, DV, HOW, tell us HOW speinding tens of millions of taxpayer dollars in downtown, and how exemptig millionaires from paying pr4oeprty taxes has lowered the property taxes for the homeowners.   Let's have a dicsussion, this is not a complaint.  Is having the highest taxes around a good thing?

I just heard McCarthy on TV on the news because the news was saying the city has the highest taxes around.   He responded by acknowledging that and said that they are trying to do something about that.  DV, discuss, WHAT is the city doing to reduce taxes?   Oh yeah, the city reduced taxes.  They have ELIMINATED taxes for the millionaires downtown.    So, in exempting downtown from paying taxes, the city has had to raise taxes on the homeowners to the point where it's so unaffordable that people are just walking away.  These are FACTS DV, NOT "nonsense"

Discussion.  The city MUST face the FACT that people CANNOT afford the taxes.  And the city CANNOT resolve that problem by7 exempting millionaires from paying taxes thus putting the burden on the financially struggling homeowners.

Well??????
