Aspen is criminal IMO...They will schedule you 5 appointment prior to the appointment where you actually receive the dental work to fill one cavity.  I don't know how they stay open.

Now a faux-taco stand is the latest and greatest from the local gangsters that run this town and we are supposed to be excited? Is it Lent yet?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

After five years of litigation. After clear cutting the entire property. After hundreds signed petitions to stop it. If you are against it you don't really understand Nisky/County development. You can't make it up.

Why have a fair tax code that doesn't encourage bribery and extortion?  The Democrat's economic plan is to lure select wealthy businesses into Schenectady County by bribing them with the tax dollars collected predominately from the middle and lower classes via sales tax and tax exemptions, then they turn around and fill their political war chests with large contributions from these wealthy businesses that received the tax money and tax breaks. Then the County government hires a PR manager(on the taxpayer dime) to convince the masses with government propaganda that taking money from the middle and lower class with every purchase you make, and handing over to wealthy businesses is a real bargain for them. It's pretty simple.  People like DV who claims to be a member of the party representing the middle class and working class has no problem with this legal extortion and propaganda campaign because his party has been benefiting from it.  He feels if he propagates the party message, he too will benefit and be rewarded and allowed to feed from the public trough.

Actually -- all I said is that I am glad that the Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming  .. but that my favorite restaurant in that area is Dolce Vita.      All the other stuff that you and that nutburger, MC, said is just a bunch of excrement flowing from your mouths.

Relax ..  order a nice anti-pasta platter .. a few bottles of wine .. and enjoy your favorite Italian entree  .. life is too short to worry about the lunatics.

regarding Aspen dental off topic but anyone who goes there should really make sure they need the work that is suggested by Aspen.

My daughter who takes very good care of her teeth and rarely has a cavity switched to Aspen a couple years ago as her regular dental office closed down-the one by Hannaford.

So she goes to Aspen, they do the xrays and cleaning and tell her she has 8 cavities and needs a special deep cleaning of her gums. Thank goodness she got a second opinion, she had NO cavities and did not need a special cleaning.

Also my uncle went there, they had him sign up for some credit card to finance, they did many thousands in "work" he ended up with dentures that gave him severe sores and Aspen refuses to make good on the shoddy dentures.

I think that 'credit card' is backed by GE credit....same with the one at the animal vets......

The issue is not about the Chipotle Mexican Grill. Hope they are good and succeed. That is clearly not the issue here.

The truth of the matter is, that these businesses are moving or relocating at the taxpayer's expense. Most if not all of these businesses are either being funded with taxpayer money or are tax exempt leaving the residents to shoulder the tax burden.

Meanwhile, the city is declining further and further. The city is now  home to not ONE but TWO Hamilton Hills. The roads are barely passable, year round. The blight is embarrassing and clearly poses a safety hazard. The value of homes are declining while the taxes are so high that folks can't even give their homes away. The added fees are yet another financial burden. The school system can barely graduate 50% of their students. Crime is rampant. The police dept is so overburdened with calls that when you call them, you must leave a message and they will call you back WHEN THEN CAN!!  Pathetic!

This entire revitalization of schenectady has done nothing but secure votes and a campaign bank roll from the 'friends and family club'. It has obviously done NOTHING to help the residents who are in fact the ones who are carrying almost the entire tax burden while their city is falling down around them.

So this isn't about how good it will be to have the Chipotle Mexican Grill......it is how bad it is for the residents. The main issue that the city's administration and the plex are clearly not concerned with. They have more important issues, like winning the next election!

There are girls that hang out there?

I went there once and me and my date were like the youngest people in the restaurant by far.

Not that I was looking for a swingers club or anything and while the food was good, I'm not sure it left the impression I wanted on the female I was with.

Heck, he won't even buy property in the TOWN

True.  Why buy, why even rent, when you can live off the taxpayer dole.

He never wants to answer the questions.      He never responds when asked why he chooses NOT to buy a house in Schenectady (with pricess so very low, and low mortgage rages and now a handout with which to buy).

I went to the Blue Ribbon.  Good service, but my wife complained that her pasta tasted too watery.  Cooked too long?  Maybe just not drained enough?  Don't know, but she didn't even take what she didn't eat with her (which was 90% of her dinner).  I thought my food was OK (eggplant parmesean).

Might be a place that I would try again, now that I know the type of place it is.  Thought it was much fancier (and more expensive) than it was prior to going in.

Why go to Blue Ribbon? Bellevue Cafe is closer, more reasonable and much better food/service. La Dolce Vita did not receive a governmental handout. Yes, very Las Vegas circa 1965 but there has to be a place for the older crowd. Not everyone wants to be drink around the Bomber/Ditch kids.

Well, I was on that side of town and wanted to check something out.  I didn't know that they had received a government handout.  Was this a Metroplex grant of some sort?  Maybe I will check out La Dolce Vita next time.  Thanks.
