Ron Paul said this in a mini debate to Newt yesterday : )

"The goal of government isn't to mold society and mold people," ... "The goal of government is to preserve liberty."

GOP outsider Ron Paul gaining traction in Iowa
By THOMAS BEAUMONT
Associated Press

ANAMOSA, Iowa (AP) -- Texas Rep. Ron Paul is emerging as a significant factor in the Republican presidential race, especially in Iowa.

He's been long dismissed by the GOP establishment, but the libertarian-leaning candidate is now turning heads beyond his hard-core followers - and rising in some polls - just weeks before the state holds the leadoff presidential caucuses and four years since his failed 2008 bid.

Paul's sharp criticism of government spending and U.S. monetary policy hasn't changed since then...................>>>>....................>>>>>................................http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/s.....=2011-11-18-18-27-33

Quoted from CICERO

Unfortunately, we are those other countries.  Are you telling me social standing and wealth doesn't grant you  more freedoms?  Just go to an airport.  Those that can afford a private jet don't have to be subjected to groping by $10 hr. TSA agent.  You think Nancy Pelosi or John Kerry and their families are subjected to that?

America has turned into those other countries.  That is because the people have handed the government over to their party and have no idea what a government 'by the people' means.

Again...Everybody is born free.  That is not to say your freedom isn't threatened by oppression from the strong.  Our Constitution was designed to protect our liberties from those wanting to oppress.  Now it is our own government doing the oppressing.

Cicero makes my case for me.  If he typed the same post from some countries, he'd be in jail by now...
his "liberty" would exist only in his imagination.

Cic sounds so oppressed.  His govt is against him.  He's suffering injustice.  He's being taxed taxed taxed into oblivion.

Boo hoo!

The US Constitution guarantees my liberty while I am an American citizen living in this country.  Not someone's creator,
not some one's god, not some one's religion.
My liberty exists in spite of a god, not because of one.

EXACTLY....and not because someone else said you can eat meat or drink raw milk....even without the government telling you, the conclusion is====you ARE, you are you, you are here etc etc....
you never have to say my god, their god, the god or what ever,,,,,you can say the Big Bang if you want....but there ain't no government that gives liberty...you have liberty because YOU ARE...

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Liberty is your birthright... unfortunately, in many countries your Liberty depends on your social standing, your wealth,
your power (or lack thereof) or laws.  Try practicing your 'birthright' in many countries concerning your freedom of
speech... Make sure you have lots of money and a good lawyer first.

What my 'birthright' actually is, depends on the laws of the land I happen to be born in.  My 'freedom of religion' is
dependent on the US Constitution's first amendment.  If that document didn't have it clearly spelled out... You could
post about my "birthright" all you wanted, but it would not exist.

your liberty is your will....doesn't matter about social standing or birthright.....you and I both have liberty to eat/drink/kill what ever....to what extent do you hand over your fight for your liberty
to someone else and let them do it for you based on THEIR rules/regulations etc?

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

CaffertyFile question of the day, Should Ron Paul run 3rd party if he doesn't get the Republican nomination?

http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn......ion/#comment-1477055

I would say yes considering all his supporters would probably write him in any ways. There is also a lot of independents who like Paul but don't want to switch to the Republican party no matter what. Some may say a 3rd party vote is a waste of time or a wasted vote but I would say we wasted our votes in the 2 party system for to long.

About Right Wing Watch

People For the American Way's Right Wing Watch is dedicated to monitoring and reporting on the activities of right-wing political organizations, in order to expose the agenda of the extreme Right. Our researchers monitor dozens of broadcasts, emails and websites, and use their expertise on right-wing movements to analyze and distill that information for the general public.

We hope that by shedding light on the activities of right-wing organizations, we can expose the risks that their extreme and intolerant agendas present to our country. We do not endorse the views of groups that we report on.

This site may also include postings by our affiliate People For the American Way Foundation and will be so designated.

Yes I agree.

The post is really is about the Republican Party and how they view women.
IMO, since Ron Paul is by far the most popular REPUBLICAN on this board, I posted it here.  His views on WOMEN in
America are mainstream Republican.

Actually, I think it's more due to the fact that it would only get one look on the Michele Bachman page, but on this page, people will continue to look at it multiple times.
