Poll: Ron Paul v Obama a dead heat in Fla.
Public Policy Polling, a Democratic-leaning polling firm, shows Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, and former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., trailing President Obama by a mere one point in their latest poll of Florida voters. Obama has a 56 percent disapproval rating in the swing state.

PPP shows Paul trailing Obama 45-44 in a hypothetical general election match-up, while Romney lags Obama by the same margin, 46-45. Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, has a 7 point deficit on the president, 50-43 - likely because 63% of voters polled disagree with his characterization of Social Security as a Ponzi scheme.

Fringe candidate Ron Paul will since the Florida election for Obama.  Thanks Ron!

In an Obama/Romney/Paul election,  Obama gets appx 50%,Romney 25%, Paul 25% according to your poll.
Or
In an Obama/Perry/Paul election,  Obama gets appx 50%,Perry 25%, Paul 25% according to your poll.

Either way, unless fringe candidate Ron Paul drops out of the race, Obama wins.

The election is over a year away...I think this assassination is going to even draw a further contrast between the Republican and Democrat establishment and Ron Paul.  Ron Paul is the ONLY option if Americans want change.  The further this process goes along, the more people are realizing that Obama/Perry/Romney are the SAME.

Among announced candidates — without Christie or Palin in the race — Romney leads with 25 percent, which is identical to his support from a month ago. Perry and Cain are tied for second with 16 percent, numbers representing a 13-point drop for Perry and a 12-point rise for Cain since early September.

Rep. Ron Paul (Tex.) is the only other candidate in double figures, at 11 percent. Just behind him are former House speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn.), both with 7 percent. Gingrich’s support has held steady through the late summer. Bachmann’s numbers fell sharply after Perry announced his candidacy.

Former senator Rick Santorum (Pa.) and former Utah governor Jon Huntsman Jr. bring up the rear, with Santorum at 2 percent and Huntsman at 1 percent.

Ron Paul's third-quarter haul: $8 million

A Ron Paul campaign official tells POLITICO's Dan Hirschhorn that Paul will announce he raised $8 million in the third quarter.

Paul will make the announcement shortly during his appearance at the National Press Club.

He'll also note that the campaign has over 100,000 donors — five times as many as Rick Perry.

RON PAUL WINS VALUES VOTERS STRAW POLL |

  Paul  37 percent
  Herman Cain 23 percent,
  Rick Santorum 16 percent,
Michele Bachmann &  Rick Perry tied for fourth with 8 percent,
Mitt Romney  4 percent.

Paul winning the straw poll is a good thing, unless you consider who votes in this poll...
The Values Voters Poll is a gathering of the religious right held by the Family Research Council.

I could see Paul/Cain or Cain/Paul.......

thank goodness we dont have a Cain and Able.....oh wait,,,,yes we do.....EVERYWHERE we turn....

as long as Perry/Newt and Bachman are at the bottom.....

I like Paul because he could care less what I sacrifice at home....I usually use field mice or chipmunks.....no matter who gave him the 'yes' doesn't mean he will cater to them.....he supports them because of their personal choice but he's not
in it to make one more equal than another.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Rep. Ron Paul scored a decisive victory Saturday in a mock presidential election at the Values Voter Summit, trouncing fellow Texan, Gov. Rick Perry, but an organizer of the straw poll suggested ballot-stuffing may have skewed the results.

In a press conference following the announcement of the straw poll results at the annual Washington gathering of social conservatives, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins all but dismissed the results as irrelevant, citing 600 people who registered Saturday morning and, he said, “left after Ron Paul spoke.”

I love the slanted headline of the article - "did Paul stuff the ballot box".  This sh*t actually passes as journalism.
