OH!  I had it backwards then... So a pollster will call you and he will tell you who the pollster will vote for.

Cicero is so confused.

No, the public doesn't know the results polls until they are presented by the media.  The media chooses how to report these polls, how frequent to report them, where to place the results in the newspapers(above the fold or below), what names to put in the headlines, and how to emphasize and deemphasize the results, and many other things to shape public opinion.

The average american voter doesn't look at the methodology of polling questions.  The processes it as it's fed to them by the major media outlets.

Ron Paul in third place, polls say
Quietly, and very much under the radar, Ron Paul, the Texas congressman who no pundit believes has a serious chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination, is staging a bit of comeback, returning to his position as a solid No. 3 candidate in the GOP race.

According to the USA Today/Gallup poll released on Tuesday, Paul was at 13%, displacing Rep. Michele Bachmann, who fell to 5% and into a three-way dead heat with former House speaker Newt Gingrich and businessman Herman Cain. Bachmann, who won a straw poll in Iowa last month, had been as high as second place before Texas Gov. Rick Perry entered the race in August, upsetting the standings.

Where do you think the Bachmann and Cain supporters will go once they drop out of the race?  My guess is the majority will go Ron Paul. Then when Palin finally announces she isn't running, those supporters will go to Paul also.  Paul is SOLIDLY in it.  My guess is, it could end up 35% could win this race, unless Romney or Perry pull out, and one endorses the other and hope they get in line.

Tough question, Bachmann supporters would never go towards Romney. Time is going to have to play this question out.

IMO, Most Republicans, like most Democrats, will vote for the candidate closest to their beliefs.  A very Conservative Republican would vote for Romney if necessary, and a centrist Republican would vote for Perry, if necessary.  Unless Paul is the Republican nominee, votes cast his way will only act as a spoiler to the Republican nominee.

Most Dems will vote for Obama, Most Reps will vote for Perry/Romney... and those undecided, as usual, will choose our next President.

2 great endorsements just coming in

LAKE JACKSON, Texas, Sep 20, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today that U.S. Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) has endorsed Dr. Paul's candidacy for President of the United States.

Said Rep. Amash:

"No person in public office has done more to secure the liberty of the American people than Dr. Ron Paul.

"Time and again, Dr. Paul has been right, and the conventional wisdom has been wrong. For decades, he has warned about the dangers of deficit spending and government's reckless expansion of the money supply. He has warned about the unforeseen consequences of sending our troops into unnecessary wars. He has warned about sacrificing our freedoms for empty promises that government will protect us from harm.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas, Sep 20, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will receive the endorsement of New Jersey State Senator Michael J. Doherty (R-23) on Monday, September 26th at a noon press conference on the steps of the New Jersey State House, located in Trenton.

"We need a leader who will use our military only when it is absolutely necessary to defend the national security interests of the United States, and who will stop engaging our military in wasteful and unconstitutional nation building exercises.

"We need a leader who will stand up to the Federal Reserve to stop the destruction of the dollar, and to protect savers, retirees and the middle class. We need a leader who recognizes that there can be no liberty and freedom unless we respect private property rights.

"There is only one candidate for President who meets that description. His name is Ron Paul, and it is my great honor and privilege to endorse him for President of the United States."

Paul's got two major problems, the entire corperate republican machine is trying to put out the message he can't win and they own alot of the media. His second problem is there are two other solid libertarian/similar canidates in the race in Cain and Huntsman. Obama was able to quickly push out the other similar canidates to himself and Paul is gonna need the same to happen soon to get enough votes to overcome the corperate machine and gain enough momentum so he can't be ignored. As for Bachmann suporters, I don't think they will go towards Paul, as I feel their main issue is religous fanaticism not smaller government and there are other republicans that play to that sort of ideology far more than Paul.

Henry I just came here to post the video and you beat me to it : ) Ron Paul is a proud veteran and American. He served his country in the military and congress. And it's time for him to serve in the White House. God Bless America and all veterans.

Florida Straw Poll:

Cain  37 percent
Perry  15 percent
Romney 14 percent
Santorum 11 percent
Paul 10.5 percent
Gingrich 8.5 percent,
Huntsman 2 percent.

Can you imagine!!!  Ron Paul didn't finish first second or third, and yet the online poll DISAPPEARED!
I wonder if there really ISN'T a Conspiracy against Paul... maybe they just remove all online polls from their sites!
