This country is full of war mongers!!! They scream anti-war and yet back either a rep or dem that has started, continued or supported all of the wars. Paul is the ONLY one who has for decades repeated that he would bring all the solders home!!

Where are all of the anti-war folks?? They should all be rallying around Paul!! But they are not!! hypocrites!

All the 'one issue' anti war folks are probably voting for Paul or some other anti-war candidate.  But those who are anti war, and pro intigration... and don't want the Paul gold dollar to jump or fall on the whims of a flooded gold mine, or a huge gold discovery in South Africa, or who've gotten burned by every Conservative in the White House... are voting for others.

You're serious about this?   You've topped yourself for the most ridiculous statement ever. You depend on paper with pictures of dead American Presidents as the world reserve currency.  Print-Print-Print!!!  Can't flood the treasury department.

The dollar dropped 96% of its purchasing power since 1933, on the other hand gold just broke a new record yesterday breaking $1600. Gold has never been worth zero but we do know fiat currency has, in Zimbabwe they used their currency as wallpaper (not a joke either) you would see thousands of trillion dollar bills plastered over buildings and houses, it actually became cheaper to use the bills as toilet paper than to buy a real roll. The same happened in Germany, you can find the pictures of people with wheel barrels filled to the top.

But Henry,,,if I go to Mexico, my purchasing power goes up, because the dollar pegged against the peso does well.

Go buy gas in Mexico, you get more bang for your buck.

OK... SO I was wrong!  I thought Paul was different... I thought that he wouldn't sell out his ideals just to get a few votes.

Here is an interview with Paul ON PBS!!!  Free enterprise, smaller government...  all that was just BS.  Why would Paul stoop to get some free airtime, on a GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZED, TAXPAYER FUNDED,  NEWS PROGRAM!

He's lost his soul... sold out for a cute smile from Judy and a few votes on BIG GOVERNMENT PBS!
  Very sad indeed

Paul gets big endorsement ahead of crucial Iowa contest
By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Ames, Iowa (CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has fresh bragging rights after picking up what is surely a coveted endorsement on Monday.

Cory Adams - the Republican chairman of Story County in Iowa – endorsed the Texas congressman's presidential bid at a campaign event in Ames, Iowa.

That's significant for a few reasons. Ames is the largest city in Story County, home to over 50,000 residents. And it is in this city that a widely-watched showdown between the GOP presidential candidates will play out on August 13. The Ames Straw Poll will test the candidates' popularity and could be a sign of their electability.

Having the endorsement of such an influential political figure in and around Ames will surely give Paul's campaign something to boast about as it aims for a strong showing in that contest.

Adams explained to CNN the rationale behind his endorsement of Paul.

"I try to go for the candidates that line up mostly with the values, the principles of the [nation's] founders," Adams said. "Out of all the candidates in this cycle, I found Ron Paul to be the one with the longest, most consistent voting record to back up those principles and concepts."

Most of this thread seems so of topic in my opinion. People on here are arguing Paul vs. Obama, when they should be discussing Paul Vs. the rest of the Republican field which he will need to conquer first. Please tell me why paul is better than Romney, Bachman, and Pawlenty.... The numerous reasons you believe Paul is better than Obama aren't going to help you get him into an election with Obama. Paul's supporters need to take their gloves off and take on the hypocrisy practiced by his republican competition and get through the primaries first.
