The GOP Tribute to Ron Paul... as long as he doesn't get to open his mouth on stage!

TAMPA, Fla. -- While Ron Paul is not speaking at the Republican convention, the RNC agreed to air a tribute
video praising his role in the party.

"Ron Paul: 22 years in Congress, he's never voted for a tax increase.
Never voted or a debt ceiling increase,
never waivered,
never backed down,"
the video's narrator intoned at the beginning...
AND NEVER GOT TO SPEAK AT HIS LAST REPUBLICAN CONVENTION!

The Republican party doesn't deserve him and they don't deserve mine or millions of other votes either, the GOP is officially dead today for many Americans. As much as I hate Obama's policies I hope Gary Johnson pulls in just enough votes to deny Romney the presidency, the GOP laughed at Ron Paul's idea of blowback but now they will witness it first hand.

I couldn't agree more! The GOP is nothing  more than a bunch of empty suits and skirts. They are not even deserving of the GOP label. And it don't matter much whether obama or romney gets elected..........the country is already over the socialist cliff that has been in the making for decades!

They had their chance with Paul.....but they knew that he would have disturbed the corrupt hornets nest that the dems and reps have worked so hard over the past decades to create!!

The funny thing is, even liberals recognize how this was political suicide, but don't realize that the power brokers would rather trust the democrat party to do their bidding.  Corporate America owns the establishment of both parties, but the rank and file democrats haven't accepted it yet.

I dont know how many of you saw Rand Pauls speech as you know every speech gone over with a fine tooth Romney ,

As I will always be upset at Rand endorsing Romney even though he has said when he got into senate he would
endorse whoever the nominee is (Ron Paul had the states) anyways

The one thing Rand said last night was that lobbyists wouldn't bother stopping at his Dad's office because his Dad
coudn't be bought

This I allready knew.

But you know the lobbyists stop at all of the other offices

As a Ron Paul tribute played on the large screen behind the podium Wednesday night, Paul supporters rose throughout the hall to cheer. But when one began waving a "Ron Paul 2012" sign, then... Watch the video and see what happened.

Security at the convention has been taking away Ron Paul signs, The Huffington Post reports. When one delegate resorted to waving a Ron Paul mouse pad at the camera, that, too, was confiscated, according to the report.

"They're violating the integrity of their own process," Mike Zentz, an alternate delegate for Paul from Honolulu, told HuffPo. "What's the point of the convention if they won't listen to the voice of their own people? We may as well just ask the RNC to pick the nominee from now on."

Ron Paul delegates to stage walk-in

TAMPA, Fla. — A group of delegates for Rep. Ron Paul (Texas) are planning to hold a press conference on
the steps of the convention center Thursday evening to protest how the party has treated the libertarian
lawmaker.

The delegates plan to voice their objections just hours before Mitt Romney accepts the party’s nomination
on the final night of the Republican National Convention, according to Washington state delegate and Paul
supporter Katja Delavar.

The Paul supporters are then planning to walk into the Tampa Bay Times Forum and onto the floor en
masse, in an attempt to show convention-goers and lawmakers that they are unified in support of Paul.

After many lengthy discussions about what possible actions to take, including a formal “walkout” by the
delegates on the floor, the group decided that a “walk-in” would be more effective in expressing their
refusal to be marginalized by the Republican Party.
“If we would walk out, it would obviously send a different message than the message that we are the
future, we are the party, we’re here to stay,” Delavar told The Hill.

The Paul supporters are protesting a rule change that the RNC adopted earlier this week in floor
proceedings that would allow any future presumptive presidential nominee to disown delegates who
at their state conventions say they’ll support one candidate but then support another at the national
convention.

First of all Henry thanks for posting the video with the Maine delegates included. I was going to post just the maine
video but yours had so much in it.

Box and others who have debated with Ron Paul supporters here.

When you watch what really went on at the convention, I think you will now understand what bullshi* many of his
supporters, delegates and Dr. Paul have had to endure which was not right.

It wasnt just the "normal" political crap candidates go through.

I sent the benn swann video to my Dad, he is an obama supporter, and he was extremely upset. He said if they can do this in the Republican Party, they can do this in the Democratic Party.

My Dad is almost 80 years old and now he really gets it.

I know that he was following some of the crap going on all along, but what he said next really got to me.

He said Ron Paul has so much support from the military (my dad is a vet) and I decided that in Novemeber if ron Paul was a
nominee i would vote for him.

Well I told him Ron Paul did have the states and delegates but was taken away by the RNC tuesday.

So no matter what your stance is on economic or social issues, I hope that what you have witnessed going on not just with the Ron Paul candidacy but others will wake you up. This is supposed to be America. God Bless us All.

RP.  Ron Paul got screwed by the GOP but his treatment is nothing new.  Republican leaders are chosen from the top down... never from
the bottom up.  THEY decide what's good for the party and THEY decide what is good for the country.  John McCain got similar treatment,
but had no army of RP groupies to back him up.
