Box wants successful people who paid into SS to just give the money to the government and not collect it because they don't need it.
When Warren Buffett stated that HE PAYS TOO LITTLE IN INCOME TAX... much less than his secretary... The Rabid Right Response was: "Let Warren donate his millions to the government then" (with an accompanying Smug Smile).
Now Ron Paul says he wants to end Social Security (putting half of elderly Americans into poverty) So Ron... just like Warren... Should put his money where his mouth is... "RON PAUL (if he really believes his propaganda) SHOULD NOT COLLECT HIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK." (Just one more case of Righties "Do as I say, Not as I do)
Who would vote for a guy who says that a program is "UNCONSTITUTIONAL", then suck up to that same "UNCONSTITUTIONAL" program for a check?
What's good for Buffett should be good for Paul.

Box people are forced to pay social security through their jobs, and hell yes Ron Paul paid into it all those years he should get HIS money back. But he wants an option for the younger generation, because we know Social Security is going broke. And why shouldn't anyone beable to plan their own retirement?
Who is restricted from saving for their retirement??? There are tons of 401k's and tax deferred investment plans for Americans to plan for their retirement... SS was always intended to 'supplement' retirement, not be the entire package.
The truth is, before SS, Americans could have saved for retirement, but didn't or couldn't. Some DID save but the great depression took their entire life savings... just as many Americans today lost much of their retirement investments with the ENRON disaster or in the 'Bush Economic Meltdown'.
Wall Street would LOVE the Ron Paul program of "investing" instead of SS for retirement. When those 'Enron type' investments crash... Wall Street pockets their share, but the investor is left with little or nothing.
Ending SS is a great idea... if you're a Wall Street Investment Manager. For everyone else... not so much.

Interesting thing is there is a legal way for Mr. Buffett to take care of that situation, he can send the money in. As far as Paul, it is a debt that is owed to him by the government, since they already took from him, hence it is Constitutional, per Article I, Section VIII of the Constitution.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
This is a debt to Representative Paul, as it is money that was taken from him previously.
I believe, however, that Representative Paul has looked for a way to phase out Social Security, paying the Constitutional debt.

It's OK Rampage... I don't care if you vote for a man who admits he is sucking at the govt teat... taking from BIG GOVERNMENT! Your guy says the program is UNCONSTITUTIONAL... and that it's a BIG GOVT Socialist Boondoggle but he's gonna hammer it for every penny it's worth. Fine! It's your right to vote for whoever you please... even if he's a two faced politician.

It's only sucking at the government teat if you didn't feed the cow in the first place. Just getting out what he put in. Also, I never said I would be voting for him in the general election. At this point, I'm waiting to find out who gets the nomination, and I will back the person put up by the party.
Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway owes $1 billion in back taxes posted at 1:25 pm on September 2, 2011 by Tina Korbe
C’mon, IRS. “Stop coddling the super rich.” Contrive to successfully extract the taxes they already owe.
Mr. Buffett, I barely want to waste my breath on your blatant hypocrisy.
And, Mainstream Media (by which I mean the NYT, which ran Buffett’s obnoxious op-ed in the first place), WHERE ARE YOU?
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett triggered a major debate over taxes recently when he wrote in The New York Times that he should be paying more to the federal government. He called on Washington lawmakers to up tax rates on the rich.
But it turns out that Buffett’s own company, Berkshire Hathaway, has had every opportunity to pay more taxes over the last decade. Instead, it’s been mired in a protracted legal battle with the Internal Revenue Service over a bill that one analyst estimates may total $1 billion.
Yes, that’s right: while Warren Buffett complains that the rich aren’t paying their fair share his own company has been fighting tooth and nail to avoid paying a larger share.
The story of Berkshire’s years-long tax battle, which is generally known in business circles, took on new life this week when a group called Americans for Limited Government (ALG) reported that, according to Berkshire Hathaway’s own annual report, the company

LMAO! OMG! Who gets the nomination!!!
OK. It was a joke! I get it! Good one Rampage!!!

He wants every penny he put in, you want him to get nothing back because he is well off. Hey box you got more money than me, is it ok if I come steal from you because you have more, I just want to be equal like you after all

Hush, now, Henry, you're making common sense, and Boxy can't handle that.

Funny how seemingly vague the Righties get when faced with the reality of their votes...
Ron Paul opposes SS... Yet he sucks it to the limit... He says it's Unconstitutional... yet he is first in line at the SS office to belly up for his Gumnt' Check!
I personally think that All Americans should collect SS... The rich, the poor and everyone in between. I don't believe that Ron Paul as a legislator who is attempting to put half of Americas elderly into poverty WHILE COLLECTING SS FOR HIMSELF deserves any votes. Do as I say... Not as I do. or I got mine... screw You!

In one ear and out the other I will say it one more time, he wishes to cut foreign spending to secure SS for those who already paid into it. He is the only candidate who has a plan to make real cuts to save these programs for those who need it. Eventually SS should be eliminated but he knows it can't happen overnight, that's why he offers the idea that younger Americans should be able to opt out and invest in something worthwhile that actually has a decent return, and be able to pass down their investments in case something bad happens. You might trust a government who can't even balance a budget but I sure the hell don't, the money you put into SS is already gone and you have no control over it, my investments I can hold, trade, or sell at any time I choose for maximum profit.

Or for a maximum loss. PT Barnum... "There's a sucker born every minute." Every one who's ever "placed a bet" in the stock market assumes "maximum profit" while history shows that you may make a profit (or not) but Wall Street WILL make their dollars before you make yours.
I can picture a man on a soap box sparking the crowd to BuyBuy BUY! just as Henry does... The year is 1929 and the crowd is sure they will end up with Henry's MAXIMUM PROFIT!

SS doesn't keep up with inflation which is the real test of investors today, many investors try just to fight inflation for their long term returns, don't worry about me
