We call them sheep, remember the Pink Floyd video where some marched themselves into the meat grinder because they were good little puppets, then you had those who rebelled against the establishment, that's the difference between Obama and Paul supporters.

Ron Paul Groupies are very much like Rock Star groupies in many ways. They ignore the facts and believe with out question everything uttered by their GOD Ron Paul.
I am an Obama supporter... not that I have much choice. I've never gone to a Obama meeting, rally or fund raiser. If you are an American who supports the working man, supports Choice, supports freedom, supports equality... Who can you vote for??? None of the GOP clones offer any of those options. Not RP.
I remember what it was like in the prosperous Clinton years, and I vividly remember the Bush Economic Meltdown.
I support Obama against the GOP clones, but in many ways Obama is not my ideal candidate. I have no option other than Obama.
All good points Box but you're still waving the pom poms..........................Clinton? oh yeah our porn star president.................he's the guy who destroyed my Dad's (a life long liberal Democrat) faith in this country......................when Mom asked in '96? if he was going to vote his reply was "I'm going but I'm not voting for that bastard"....................Clinton? oh yeah he's the guy who turned my friend "Conservative Bob" from being a staunch liberal (we marched, protested and did all the things that we thought were the proper liberal things to do back in the day) into a freakin' carbon copy of our resident neo-con the all knowing Mr. Lord Strider.................of course after sending his 2 boys off to fight 2 useless wars he has softened his stance but still remains very conservative..............in my experience blind allegiance to any thing is toxic and a waste of time..............thus I sit in the middle pretty much ready to get off the bus........................just saying...........

Naturally, I disagree with your views... I see RP groupies as believers... looking for a cause worthy of belief... Kind of like the "Doomsday campers" who traveled the country preaching the Apocalypse on May 21,2011, or the Mayan Calendar Apocalypse coming on Dec12, 2012.
They had faith... They believed... They were wrong.

We have faith of returning our country back into a constitutional republic, we believe in personal responsibility, liberties, and the idea that we can be left alone, are we wrong for believing that, I don't think so, however it is your type who uses the force of the government to deny us what we thought were rights.

I'm fine with a Constitutional Republic... just not Ron Paul's view of a Constitutional Republic. I believe in personal responsibility... and community responsibility... I believe in "liberties, and the idea that we can be left alone"... Especially on the topic of CHOICE. Ron Paul would " uses the force of the government to deny us our right of CHOICE".

Fine, once you're born, you are a human, therefore you have the rights of a human and can make a decision.
Tell me how the child is making the decision if they want to live or not, and especially how they let the doctor know when they're sucking the soft tissue out the back of the skull that it's uncomfortable and they don't want to continue with the procedure? And if you believe in the liberties, you would also have to believe in life... as long as you can figure out a way to be born with your ideals.

"Fine, once you're born, you are a human, therefore you have the rights of a human and can make a decision." Right so far...
Tell me how the child is making the decision if they want to live or not? Since a "CHILD" cannot make any decisions as an infant, his parents (or the state if his parents are not present) will take steps to protect that child. As long as we are discussing a CHILD, they have the rights of any other American.
If you are discussing a clump of cells that one day MAY become a child... that clump of cells have no rights nor should they.

I doubt you do considering you are for Obamcare. What about SS would you be ok with people opting out of the program and be allowed to use their money to invest in their own retirement. I can make a loooong list of things I bet you would not want people to be able to do to be able to be "left alone".

We both know what happens if someone "opts out" of SS or medical coverage... They pay nothing into the system, then show up at the ER or the Welfare office crying like little babies... "I have no health care insurance, and I need an operation" or "I never saved a dime for my retirement, and I have no place to live, feed me... give me a home... pay my food bill."
There is a way to legally avoid social security taxes... Ask the Amish. They don't pay for, or USE Social Security taxes. If you want that same benefit, then set up a system to care for your sorry a$$ when you need help instead of SS. They don't pay into the system... BUT THEY DON'T COME CRYING LIKE LITTLE BABIES WHEN THEY'VE PUT NOTHING ASIDE AND NOW NEED SERVICES.

Those people who didn't take responsibility should then have to face the consequences of their actions, instead they leech off the taxpayers with the programs you love so much, that is what we have today, your little entitlement utopia

Too bad social security doesn't work like you explained. You don't get back what you pay in. You actually pay into a system and pay for the debts for the money borrowed and spent by the generation prior. You pay prior debt with dollars printed paying for future debt. Then the government moves the bar to make the failed system solvent. So now, instead of being able to collect at 62, they will move the age to 67 or higher to keep you working and paying for the previous generation with hopes you die before you can collect from the system.
It's a great system, and they sell it as if it is humane.

Back when SS first started, life expectancy for a America male was 59... It really sucks now that American males now live to the age of 76... they're really screwin Cicero's system by living so damn long.
Cicero is so afraid that he won't live long enough to collect every last penny that he paid into the system.

Box No need to argue about abortion but was wondering when YOU believe life begins?
I told the story here of my first grandbaby so won't repeat it. But when the doctor came in to tell my daughter she didn't make it, he didn't say, your clump of cells is gone, or your fetus did'n't make it, he said *I'm sorry but your BABY's heart is not beating, she had died.
My daughter recently gave birth to her second son. I saw him twice on the ultrasound, moving around, sucking his thumb : ) Saw his heartbeat early on. The techicians, the nurses the doctors all called him a baby all through the pregnancy. In the ultrasound some concerns about his stomach, but all was fine, they check to make sure the baby is swallowing (yes they do swallow Box) the amniotic fluid and that his kidneys (yes they pee too Box) were functioning. And when he was born he had pooped in the amniotic fluid (yes Box they poop too) and the specialist had to suction him etc.
The specialists and doctors and nurses were amazing, as another issue had come up and a very scary four minutes. But he made it : )
