I still never met or even talked to one person who likes Romney, even in a left leaning state like NY have I ever met one. During the last election did anyone here ever see a Romney yard sign or bumper sticker?

Paul gets about as much coverage as Ralph Nader did when he was running as a fringe candidate... both will never be more than a post script in a Presidential Election unless they get broad Republican or Democrat backing.
Nader did play an important role in electing George Worst Bush in 2000... had Nader not run, Gore would have been elected.
Ralph Nader ran on the GREEN PARTY. Nader did not participate in the Democrat Party Primary. Paul is in the Republican Party Primary. Apples and Oranges. Paul is polling 3rd nationally within the Republican Party and still, not a "top tier" candidate. It's a media black out on Paul, and I believe it's by design. The central bankers and government bureaucrats can't' let his message catch fire. I think it's too late.
With this discussion in mind, among others of similar content, I thought some (like rpfp, Henry and others who get it) might be interested in the video found on this link.
It is a presentation by J. Perloff, author of "The Shadows of Power", based on the book.
He is not the most exciting guy, but the documented information presented will shock you.
It is about 1 1/2 hrs. and in the first few minutes there are some pauses, but then they disappear....you may ask, what is the point here?...but if you stay with it and watch the entire presentation, it will explain many of the statements and subjects discussed in similar threads on these boards.
It will take a few minutes to upload and display the play button.
Thanks Gadfly that was pretty interesting, I might have to go pick up one of his books.

The two youtube links below take you to a presentation given to a large Republican club in the greater Cleveland area. The purpose of the presentation was to 'present' Ron Paul for the club's consideration to support in the 2012 Republican primary. The response received was amazing.

I thought so too...but I've read the book and as usual, it's even better than the "movie".
I don't know if you have ever seen this, but it's about the Federal Reserve...Ron Paul is one of the featured commentators...as it is the very issue that launched his campaign in 2008.
I have the full length DVD...it's about three hours...but the video at the link below would give people a lot of insight on the Fed...a literal banking cartel controlling the entire monetary system and, by extension, government policies meant to destroy capitalism and ultimately, our liberty.
On the Ron Paul candidacy... There is lots of interest in Ron Paul on this board... but it all comes from those already committed to Paul. The core Paul supporters, are at best a fringe group. With out the Republican nomination, Paul will be a footnote in the election. Does anyone really see Paul taking the Republican Primary?

I believe there is a very good chance that he will win. Much like the 1980 primary, where Reagan was nominated by populist vote, then pressured by the establishment to accept the ultimate in establishment candidates, George HW Bush as his running mate. It could be a Paul/Romney or Paul/Pawlenty. If the Tea Party gets re-energized, it could make it very difficult for establishment republicans to stave off Ron Paul. After all, he is representing the 2nd largest state in the Union.

don't know. I don't have a crystal ball. But if the GOP thinks Bachmann/Palin/Powlenty/Romney/Huckabee are the front runners, than you are correct.....obama willwin by default.
However........if the tea partiers are REAL patriots that want to take their country back, they will support and campaign for Paul. If they do, I believe that paul has a great chance at winning! If they don't, then it will be clear that the tea party was bought and sold by the rep party.
As for me, I will support, campaign and vote for paul! He certainly won't get equal air/print time from the media!

Paul gets equal air/print time of any fringe candidate... If he's to be taken seriously by the media, he needs to be taken seriously by the American Public.

Honestly, 4 years ago, many people, including myself looked at Ron Paul as avfreak and someone who was truly misguided and too far "right-wing. I think that many people, including myself again, have not onlybeen educated and listening closer, but have also seen the wrong-doings of our government and decided that we do truly need to make changes, such as those Mr. Paul would seek to bring about. That being daid, we would also meed to make sure there are people in congress thst would send appropriate bills to his desk, as he couldn't write them himself, just as Barack Obama can't now. Do we really see him taking the primary? Well, I hope so, and I think he has a MUCH better chance than he did in the '08 race. As faras your last comment, it's really true that anyone that doesn't get the party nomination will just about always be a footnote.

You have got to be the most delusional liberal ever....
The more 'seriously' RP is taken by the American people, the less 'mainstream media' coverage he'll get...no wonder there is another form of stifling in progress by the establishment...attempting to threaten legal action for YouTube embedding...similar internet venues will be all but the exclusive means of full coverage for Paul and his message....or any other true conservative or anti-establishment candidate.
Gary Johnson was just excluded from the upcoming CNN debate, worst part is they offered those who already said they're not running like Trump a spot there. Talk about limiting the field through force, this is exactly what they did to Paul back in 08'. They don't want 2 people with a libertarian message on stage together, if they get rid of Johnson they can then label Paul as a fringe candidate. Right now many Paul supporters are trying to help out Johnson to get him in the debate, we know how this feels as FOX did the same to Paul.
Even though Paul supporters probably won't switch over to Johnson it is important to us that the people get to know all of the candidates. All Paul supporters ever asked for was a fair chance not only for Paul but for everyone running. This movement is more than just about Ron Paul it is about changing how screwed up everything has become, the media should not be able to choose who the favorite candidate is, that is up to the people.
