I wonder why you single out a generation that had little to do with SS until recent years...
an example:
Tricky Dicky Nixon... Statement on Signing the Social Security Amendments of 1972--October 30, 1972:

IT GIVES me very great pleasure to sign H.R. 1, landmark legislation that will end many old inequities and will
provide a new uniform system of well-earned benefits for older Americans, the blind, and the disabled. This
bill contains many improvements and expansions of the social security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs
which this Administration recommended and is proud to bring into reality today.

Nixon was president of the USA when Boomers were still  being born.  Hardly a BOOMER PROBLEM.

the poor poor seniors keep being used as podium pucks.....FOR 2 GENERATIONS.....so who's to fix it???? The Boomers were more educated than their parents and the Boomers kids are more educated
than them, but with different values because they did not pass on the values of their parents......

so we are at a cross roads of sorts.......

the further away from the land we get the more we must rely on other people to tell us what is real and true, where does the truth lie when it's not personally owned?

every time we say the government this, or the government that, it's like saying "geeee, I wonder how I will eat bread"

have we become so 'civilized and advanced' that we gave up our desire to survive? or to even survive without things like zocor/cymbalta/coreg etc etc???

I'm just questioning....history, as told by the History channel/books (scrubbed of spirit) only gives a shadow of the effects......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Senders seems to need to blame the Boomers, Hippies or anyone associated with the Vietnam War.

Long on opinion... Short on Facts.

The pot smoking, LSD, hippie generation was a 'created' culture war!! And again the sheople fell for it!! As folks today look back at that generation, they don't look back on it fondly! Looking back, it was a 'created' culture that was supported and promoted by and manipulated by every  media outlet, politician, music industry, hollywood, tv, corporate America, colleges, planned parenthood, vietnam........etc.......l

That generation was hoodwinked and bought it hook, line and sinker. The globalists needed that part of history to catapult their global socialist progressive agenda!

However...today's 30-somethings aren't falling for the bullcrap!! They are a bit smarter than the past generation!!!

...Newt - Santorum - Perry...NOT ON VIRGINA BALLOT!  Why would a South Carolinian waste there vote on a candidate that is not on the ballot in all 50 states?  This could be a game changer.

I'm your generations legacy.....

MY GENERATION???

Senders, you look at all BOOMERS as Hippies... do you realize that the earliest BOOMERS (born in the late '40's and
early '50's) were teenagers in the 60's... but that later BOOMERS (born in the late '50's and early 60's) were toddlers
or in elementary school in the Hippy era of the '60's.  Some BOOMERS were being born while their DADS were
fighting in Vietnam.
There are BOOMERS who never saw John Kennedy, but instead graduated from high school when Reagan was in the
White House.

The "greatest generation," my father's generation, left the BOOMERS an America that accepted Racism and Bigotry
as a normal part of every day life.  BOOMERS CHANGED THAT!
BOOMERS were born into a world where Men had rights, women were restricted... BOOMERS CHANGED THAT!
BOOMERS, like every generation have their successes and their failures.
Boomers like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Condoleezza Rice, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Andrew Lloyd Webber,  have
accomplished much... Most are just average Americans.

I have no idea what Generation you are in, but you like everyone else is responsible for what your group gives
to America.  I have no problem being a boomer.

A new Pew Research survey shows that a third-party campaign by Ron Paul would clearly work to President Obama's
advantage. In this scenario:
Obama would receive 44%,
Romney would get 32%,
Paul would get 18%.

In a two-way general election match up,
Obama receives 50%
Romney gets 45%.

Ron Paul bills taxpayers $50,000 for first class flights!

An Associated Press report published Monday found that since May 2009, Paul had billed taxpayers for 31 round-trip flights
and 12 one-way flights, all first class.

In all, taxpayers paid $52,000 for flights where cheaper tickets were available. AP found that Paul’s office could have saved
$27,621 by selecting economy tickets instead.

Throughout his presidential campaign, Paul has blasted his Republican opponents for not being serious about cutting
spending.

“You are a big spender,” the candidate told former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum at a debate earlier this month.
“You are a big-government conservative. To say you are a conservative is a stretch. Somebody has to point out
your record.”  (And now AP has pointed out Pauls)

Ron Paul
A prominent friend told me some weeks ago that he noticed an odd thing. In his state, several people who have been successful in getting themselves known as very probably Mitt Romney delegates for the Republican National Convention are also his supporters. And they are not just my friends’ supporters, they are also long time staunch Ron Paul supporters.

Why then would they, long time staunch Ron Paul supporters, align this year with Mitt Romney? He made calls and talked to friends in other states. All of them saw the same thing happening — long time Dr. Paul supporters working to become delegates to the convention pledging to support Mitt Romney and others.

If the field stays fractured at this level, with only a few people, but each getting delegates enough to prevent the front runner from an outright majority, there will be a second vote at the Republican National Convention.

Delegates are only locked in for their candidate during the first vote. After the first vote, they can vote for whoever they want. So if Mitt Romney is unable to clear an outright majority on the first ballot, suddenly he could see some of his delegates turn on him — turn and go back to Ron Paul.

It is an ingenious strategy premised on a convention where no one gets majority support early. It plays well to a primary calendar where the delegates are first awarded proportionally. Who knows if it is a campaign strategy or just his volunteers, but the Paul campaign has been active now for four years trying to take over local parties.

It may pay off if the GOP doesn’t unite around a candidate soon.

They already have... Romney.

Ron Paul Super PAC Live Webcasting SC Primary, Urging Cable/Network Boycott
By Lisa in News with 5 comments  Tags: Cable, nomination, panel, Rep. Paul, republican nomination, Revolution, ron paul, South Carolina, South Carolina Primary election, webcast

Revolution PAC panel and correspondents to break down contest and road ahead.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Northbrook, IL (PRWEB) January 20, 2012 - Revolution PAC, backer of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s bid for the Republican nomination, will host a live webcast on Saturday following the South Carolina Primary election. In conjunction with the event, the super committee is calling for a nationwide boycott of cable/network outlets, which have exhibited bias against Rep. Paul in their reporting.

“Pew Research just a few months ago confirmed the immense media bias against Dr. Paul,” explains Revolution PAC Chair Gary Franchi. “Despite his electoral success, he consistently receives the least national media coverage of all Republican candidates.”

Case in point, notes Franchi, was CNN’s post-Southern Republican Presidential Debate coverage Thursday, which provided coverage of neither Rep. Paul nor his debate remarks.

“Quite simply, Ron Paul’s supporters are losing their patience and are creating their own media opportunities,” says Franchi. “Revolution PAC is pleased to be able to offer this forum, and we anticipate a lively event on Saturday.”

Election analysis will be provided as the polls close tomorrow by Revolution PAC’s South Carolina correspondents and an in-studio grassroots liberty panel. The public is invited to participate in the webcast from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CST Saturday, January 21 by visiting http://www.RevolutionPAC.com.

Rep. Paul received the coveted endorsement of South Carolina State Sen. Tom Davis Sunday, Davis calling Paul “a Tea Party of one against a towering wave of red ink.” At a Myrtle Beach press conference, Davis added, “There’s only one person speaking to what I believe is the core problem of our country today. The biggest threat to our liberty comes from debt.”

Joining Davis, three additional South Carolina state senators – Sen. Lee Bright (Spartanburg), Sen. Kevin Bryant (Spartanburg) and Sen. Danny Verdin (Greenville) – endorsed Rep. Paul Tuesday.

Reinforcing what is shaping up as a two-man race, Rep. Paul and Mitt Romney are the only Republican candidates who have successfully secured positions on the primary ballots of every state, reported South Carolina’s The State newspaper last week. A CNN/ORC International Poll released Monday also revealed that Paul and Romney are the only Republican contenders tied with Barack Obama in a likely general election matchup.

Revolution PAC is supporting U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s campaign for the Republican nomination and consistent, constitutional message with targeted TV advertising, direct mail campaigns and innovative Web promotions complemented by billboards and radio ads in key primary states. Unlimited donations by individuals, businesses and organizations are being accepted by Revolution PAC to support that effort.
