I agree! I just turned tv off and will read the results here in the a.m. We have watched every single news outlet on tv...and they ALL can't push Paul back any farther! He is hardly ever even mentioned. The media is in 'selection' mode and the sheople are falling for it!!

Ron Paul came in 3rd in the Iowa Caucus. I am disapointed thought he'd take first or second, so on to NH etc : ) I know Romney will take NH but RP could take second.

I watched the Ron Paul defeat on CNN.  They gave Paul lots of coverage when he was leading or in a 3 way tie early
on.  When Paul dropped to a solid 3rd, CNN gave him almost all the coverage waiting for Paul to speak, then his entire
"concession speech", and even made time for a Ron Paul US Army supporter to give a brief speech.  All Paul, the
1st & 2nd place contenders were barely mentioned.
Once Paul was projected for 3rd... what else is there to say about him?  The news then was who will come in 1st
& 2nd.

Then the obvious happens after NH. RP starts to sport 'Huntsman' like numbers and his 120 years of trying to become POTUS comes to an end.

Frustrated idealists sometimes turn to anarchy when they realize the rest of society disagrees with their view.

Paul is threatening to stick around and stay in the race... I hope so.

doesn't matter if he does, he has already said that he will NOT run as a 3rd party candidate in the general election. SC will be the Waterloo for the Republican candidates..if Romney wins there, game over. If he places a strong second, the fat lady is warming up.

Romney should pick Jon Huntsman as his VP candidate. It will give him some conservative cred, and Huntsman will not overshadow or embarrass Romney in the campaign.

Doesn't matter! As long as the media enterprises continue to keep paul in the back ground (at best).... obama will be guaranteed a 2nd term. The rest of the GOP is a joke!

Obama won't even have to campaign...he will win by default!!

And don't be fooled....obama is just escalating the direction of this country faster. The reps would be doing the same thing...only with a different dialog and at a slower pace. Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II have helped this socialist cause as well as the dems...only slower! The globalists don't want to wait that long!

It's Paul or NOTHING! PERIOD!

everyone seems to forget that republican and Dem voters do NOT elect a president anymore...its the independents that do. That's why a social conservative is a death-knell for any chance to unseat Obama...you guys are looking at this through partisan glasses. The independents went Obamas way last time, he IS in trouble with them this time around. A candidate like Romney gives the pubs the best chance to win because he appeals to independents. The only way the pubs can torpedo Romney is not show up to the polls.

James Carville on Republicans  Voting for Romney

CARVILLE:
"There is one screaming, huge story here tonight and that is these Republicans just don't want to vote for Mitt Romney.
I mean it's like you're trying to give a dog a pill. They keep spitting it up.
Now, they're going to eat the pill, 'cause Romney's going to eventually be the nominee,
but...
And it's the same thing he had before and he's got a weaker field. It just don't matter where he comes in,
they don't want to vote for him.

Bill Clinton placed 4th in Iowa in 1992... The caucuses are the most over-hyped, over-rated contest out there.
for the pubs, Iowa is social conservative heaven, NH is just the opposite, SC is in between. No pub candidate has LOST the SC primary and went on to win the nomination.

Ron Paul still has a lot of ammo to use.  He hasn't even laid a glove on Santorum or Romney yet.  Wait until those ads hit the airwaves.  Santorum talks conservative, wait until he hits him with his votes on gun rights(Lautenberg Gun Ban) and his vote on the perscription drug bill, and his endorsement of Arlen Specter.  This is just getting started.  We'll see how these things play in NH, and SC.
