All Top GOP Candidates Viewed Negatively The Republican Party has a big image problem, and its name is Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.Going back over the last five elections, all of the eventual GOP nominees entered the primary season more liked than disliked by the American public, according to Wall Street Journal/NBC News polling data. That was also the case with nearly all of their Republican closest rivals. But this time, in a stark departure, the American people hold negative views of all three of the GOP front-runners. That’s bad news for a Republican Party eager to topple President Barack Obama. See the Graphic: http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/GOPCandidates.pdf |

If elections happened in a vacuum, those numbers would mean something.
The RNC is in panic mode...Those statistics have little to do with anything except a desperate call to find somebody that can derail Ron Paul. The establishment tried to push up every Republican candidate in an effort to pull Paul voters away, but it seems to be going in the other direction and he's actually gaining support in the party. The RNC is going to try to DESTROY Ron Paul in the coming weeks. The RNC establishment would rather maintain control of the party and lose the election than support Paul in a national election. You will begin to see the Republican Party start tearing itself to shreds and acts of cannibalizing on one another. |

RealClearPolitics disapproval vs. approval spread President -3.9%Congress -70.5%Right Track Wrong Track -48.2%http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/Box, it looks like EVERYBODY is looked at negatively in December 2011. If the overall political climates in the past 5 presidential elections were similar to the political climate today, there may be credence behind the negative theory. But I highly doubt that's the case, because the dislike of the Federal Government is at historic highs. In comparison, Paul at -5% looks pretty good. |

Mitt Romney........ 24%.............. 32%.................... -8%
Romney vs. Obama RCP Average 11/8 - 12/15 -- 46.4 44.6 Obama +1.8
So Romney is a -8% in the WSJ poll...Yet in the RCP Head to Head average he is in a statistical tie with Obama. And Paul is -5% and the RCP Head to Head average Obama is + 8.8%.
Let's go back to my first response to the WSJ article. THE NUMBERS MEAN NOTHING!!! And you helped me prove it by showing Romney is statistically tied with Obama even with higher negatives than Paul. No logical conclusion can be drawn for these statistic. IT IS STATE PROPAGANDA. THE STATISTICS ARE USED TO PUSH A NARRATIVE AND PERSUADE THE ELECTORATE. |

Most Americans know little about Paul... the more they learn the greater his negatives will rise. Paul isn't getting more popular... the rest of this lame GOP group are becoming less popular. When America sees Paul's policy, they will run from him like Forrest Gump. For starters... 1. Ron Paul does not value equal rights for minorities. 2. Ron Paul would deny women control of their bodies and reproductive rights. 3. Ron Paul would be disastrous for the working class. 4. Ron Paul’s tax plan is unfair to lower earners and would greatly benefit those with the highest incomes 5. Ron Paul’s policies would cause irreparable damage to our already strained environment. 6. A Ron Paul administration would continue to proliferate the negative image of the US among other nations. 7. Ron Paul discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation and would not provide equal rights and protections to glbt citizens 8. Ron Paul has an unnatural obsession with guns. 9. Ron Paul would butcher our already sad educational system. 10. Ron Paul is opposed to the separation of church and state. Aided by comparison to a very unpopular Congress, President Obama inched up to a 49% job approval rating in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll -- "his best showing since spring, and one, if it holds, that may put his re-election prospects back within reach."
Key finding: Just 27% of Americans now approve of the Democrats in Congress, and just 20% approve of the Republicans -- both new lows going all the way back to 1994.
A new Gallup poll also shows Congress with a record-low approval rating at just 11%. |

Ron Paul winning in Iowa will be as significant as Ron Paul winning a straw poll... NO significance, except to point out how weak the GOP field actually is.

positive and negative because those who see facts and truth instead of ear tickling cute sayings ie: shovel ready(stupid), close their ears, their eyes glaze over and they begin thinking about which fast food place they will eat tonight and which 'reality show' is on...... shame on our commune public school system for making cookie cutters and the rest of us for allowing the evolution of the hollywood court jesters to the F'EN FRONT ROW...... stupid stupid stupid....... |

Newt's done way too much bagage, he's unelectable. It's between Perry, Romney and Paul. Perry would be the corperate candidate but he's really stupid and seems incapable of hiding it, so I'm guessing the media and corperate america will go all in behind Romney as Paul may actually make decisions with someone other than the richest 1% in mind. |
