The Statists like you loath him and his non collectivist philosophy. I love it!!
People are still inclined to believe the health of the state more important than individual freedom. The fascist western world is on the verge of economic collapse, yet, there are people like DVR and Box in denial and still suggesting larger more centralized government control through things like consolidation and social medicine are the solutions.
MANCHESTER, NH -- Ron Paul briefly traded the campaign trail for a bike trail on a beautiful sunny Friday here in Granite State. The congressman from Texas, who recently celebrated his 76th birthday, took reporters on a 6-mile bike ride through the woods and claimed his health is just fine.
Before shoving off with a couple of print reporters in tow, Paul tooled around on his bike and confidently chatted about his campaign prospects in New Hampshire.
"I have no reason to think the momentum won't continue, because each time I come up here, you know, we get new people, new support," he said behind dark sunglasses. "We always plan to have a little gathering have 50 people together. Sometimes we get hundreds of people together. So it is very reassuring."
Paul is not worried about Sarah Palin perhaps throwing her hat into the ring for 2012 either.
"The more the merrier," he said. "They don't take votes from me. But they divide up all the establishment vote, so I think it's always helpful for people to come into the race."
With that, Paul pedaled into the forest.
An hour later, he emerged from the woods with a wide smile, saying he didn't even break a sweat.
Cruising to a stop, the congressman revealed his resting heart rate is between 58 and 62 beats per minute. His daily exercise routine, if schedules permit, he begins his days with an early morning walk (3 to 4 miles) and caps it off with a 10- to 15-mile bike ride.
"You burn a lot more calories faster in the humidity," he said, referring to his usual routine in Houston.
Wondering about his blood pressure? "120 over 70 or 65 I think," he said.
When asked if his White House bid is analogous to his physical fitness, Paul replied: "Good shape, ready and raring to go!"
Paul will return to New Hampshire in a couple of weeks. Tonight, he will head home to Texas. Then goes to South Carolina for Jim DeMint's forum before traveling to the NBC-Politico debate next week.
Debate tonight channel 10 at 9pm.
Anyways posted about the bike ride as RP has challenged other candidates to a 20 mile ride and no one took him up on it. know someone here who would refuse also lol.

You really are ignorant about me and what I believe --- I am not a statist nor did I believe in a collectivist philosophy. You don't even have a clue where I stand on health care and "socialized medicine". I'll give you a hint -- you are dead wrong on every item that you mentioned.
Oh -- and I don't loath Ron Paul --- he is such a "non factor" in the current race that I don't think anything about him -- except that he looks like a mummified corpse brought out every 4 years to entertain the deranged extreme right wing.

Dec 10, 2011 3:53pm Ron Paul Draws Big Crowds and Many Undecided Voters in Iowa
By all accounts, Ron Paul is on a roll in Iowa. In the latest ABC News / Washington post poll, Paul is tied with Mitt Romney for second place in the state. Paul has visited the Hawkeye State more than 50 times since he declared his candidacy – and this week he kept up a grueling schedule of town hall meetings, media interviews and college rallies. Paul explained his non-interventionist foreign policy to a packed rally of more than 1,000 mostly young people at Iowa State University on Thursday night. The 12-term congressman has long done well with college students and drew another 700 mostly college students the following night at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. “He likes to do what he says – he says what he means – he doesn’t beat around the bush – he’s kind of entertaining to watch,” said Iowa State University student Mario Winburn. Winburn said that he appreciates Paul’s consistency on issues ranging from abortion to the debt ceiling. He also likes that Paul “doesn’t play politics,” said Winburn........................>>>>....................>>>>................................http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/po.....ided-voters-in-iowa/
You really are ignorant about me and what I believe --- I am not a statist nor did I believe in a collectivist philosophy.
You have not opposed a government program to date. You support Metroplex, which an unelected body of bureaucrats working on behalf of the state, directing tax money to the businesses of their choosing. You support a taxing district to subsidized a not for profit ambulance provider. You support the state overriding the results of a direct vote on the Pine Grove fire district expansion because you feel the state has the right to. You support the unelected RIDA as long as they are appointed by people from the party you belong to. You support consolidation of public services, which would centralize control into the hands of a smaller group of people making decision for a larger group.
Based on your positions on issues over your tenure on this forum, everything you support is for the collective good of the state or "community", and you believe this can only be accomplish through the direction of government. As long as the people controlling the government are from your party and share your philosophy.
Press Release covering Drake University Student Body Straw Poll
DES MOINES, Iowa – Dec. 11, 2011 – As campus buzzed with the activity of the ABC News Presidential Debate, 1,223 Drake University students participated in one of the largest student straw polls this election cycle. Students were asked to pick their favorite Republican candidate. Among the Republican contenders, Ron Paul won the poll with 35 percent of the vote. Paul was followed by Mitt Romney (25 percent) and Newt Gingrich (10 percent). Students were then asked who they would vote for in a head-to-head matchup between their preferred Republican contender and President Obama. Fifty-five percent of respondents chose the Republican candidate over Democrat Barack Obama.
Responses also indicated many Drake students are not strangers to presidential campaigns. A remarkable 44 percent said they had seen or met a presidential candidate within the last year.
Another notable statistic gathered from the poll was the nearly perfect distribution of party identification. Forty-one percent of students self-identified as Republican or leaning Republican, while 40 percent of students self-identified as Democrat or leaning Democrat. Sixteen percent of students self-identified as Independent, and 3 percent reported “Other.”
In addition, the straw poll indicated a significant number of students want to participate in the Iowa caucuses held on Jan. 3. Student leaders are optimistic the debate and straw poll will create momentum for student involvement in the nation’s first nominating contest.
The poll, sponsored by Drake University Student Senate, was intended to engage students and identify young voter preferences for the upcoming presidential election. The straw poll was conducted over a 24-hour period on Dec. 10 through a secure online balloting system. Drake’s 5,000 students were the only participants. Inquiries about acquiring specific data can be sent to strawpoll@drake.edu.
The Drake University Student Senate is the representative body of Drake University’s 3,200 undergraduate students and is committed to maximizing student impact and involvement throughout the political process. Its diverse responsibilities include the allocation of student funds, publicizing campus activities and oversight of campus organizations.

It was inspiring to see all of Ron Paul's supporters together in one spot!
