ALBANY --A Schenectady woman used a secret bank account to embezzle more than $25,000 from her mother, the Albany County Sheriff's Office said.

Kathleen A. Palmatier, 58, of 1027 Ostrander Place surrendered to investigators Tuesday and was charged with third-degree grand larceny.
