You're the one who has it wrong BT...FDG was not the draw...the NNTP was the draw...from the Republicans...without them most of
the Reps would have won in the last local cycle. FDG wouldn't take the lead...he wanted to listen to BG...leaving ND and MM. The
"Revitalize Rotterdam' slogan was conceived by the Democrats, not FDG....and FDG ended up running because the CP never wanted
to endorse ST for Supervisor and only did so because they knew the Dem candidate originally endorsed had no chance of beating
Steve. Then a friend of Bob Hamilton and member of the CP asked Hamilton to endorse FDG....the Dems knew their own candidate
would not win, so they agreed to cross endorse FDG...from that moment on the 'copservative' members of the Party intended to
screw ST in the CP Primary that fall, which they did.

BTW, campaign signs for the Dem Board slate were plastered all over Town just as heavily as FDG's...and everyone else's...that's
the nature of the Rotterdam sign beast - lol.

Totally disagree with Gadfly.  The NNTP took votes away from the DEMS!!!!  People wanted a change in administration.  Half of MacGarry votes go to FDG or no?  The 1700 votes BM got all would have gone to ST???  No way Jose'

You might be a gadfly but you are far from a political strategist.  What's your background Gadfly??  Pushing through a toothless resolution called the "Cat Law?"  I don't see the logic but of course you have always been viewed as the self serving type!!

Brian McGarry kept the mandate in check but HB will thump him.  IMHO

Sorry Ozzie--I believe Gadfly is correct.  NNTP took votes from the Republicans and the result was ST out of the game along with his thugs.  No real Dem would vote for McGarry unless they were related to him.  He espouses everything Dems--real Dems- dislike.  HB will clean up for sure.

And you are far from reality if you believe the NNTP took votes away from the Dems...the overwhelming majority of those NNTP
votes would have gone to ST.

The version of the cat ordinance I originally proposed was far from toothless...amendments were made to foster majority
agreement...but I would rather have started somewhere than nowhere. Obviously unlike you, I understand these things
usually require compromise to advance. It is also obvious that you know nothing about my background except for one
single issue that just happens to be an issue currently being discussed in this forum...or you wouldn't have to ask.

As for being 'viewed as the self serving type'....by who? You? LMAO. That's a pretty risky accusation from someone who purports
to be unfamiliar with my 'background'....and logic clearly isn't your specialty.

The revisionist historians are working overtime. This much is clear-today no one wants the existing TB. This includes the DEM committee. Everywhere you go you hear the same thing; "How did these idiots get elected"? Stop looking backwards, stop filing nuisance suits and work for change.

Wrong again!! ND, MM and BG all were endorsed by the democons in hopes of winning on FDG's shirt tails. HE was the draw!! It was HIS face that was plastered all over the rotterdam campaign mailers. It was HIS campaign signs that wasplastered all over rotterdam. It was FDG that was going to lead the REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM team!!! It was his leadership and business back ground that was going to REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM!!! But when he tried........he was tossed out like a piece of crap! ND and MM were suppose to follow FDG's lead....not the other way around. That's how it's suppose to be done.

And might I add that comparing a run for town clerk or receiver of taxes, which carries no power for approve or propose legislation or pass laws in rotterdam, to a run for the highest seat in the town is as far as the west is from the east!!

A$$ backwards!

And now the rotterdam democons think they can pass it off again. Like I said.....rotterdamians don't forgive and don't forget very easily!

The  ACTUAL VOTE TOTALS show that Mr. DelGallo ran BEHIND the rest of the ticket .. so he obviously did NOT have any  "coattails" ---  and he ONLY contributed $2,000 to the campaign treasury .. which is on par with what EACH of the other candidates put into the campaign treasury ...   and MOST of the campaign work -- stuffing envelopes, folding literature, door-to-door canvassing was done by the members of the Democratic and Conservative committees or by supporters of the OTHER candidates on the ticket.

The fact is that Frank DelGallo rode the Democratic coattails into office -- we would have won in 2009 withouthim.  We will win in 2011 without him.

Yeah, they would have raised all that cash without him. Right. Pipedreamer. You need to taste reality sometimes.

So the love affair is over now, huh? Now the democons have switched alliances. The democons thought they had a 'good soldier' when they plucked fdg off the couch and on to every campaign mailer they sent out, huh?   They knew what theywere putting out there the day he uttered his first word!! THEY KNEW! Now all rotterdam and beyond knows what a laughing stock the democons made of REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM!!!

What makes you so sure that HB will be a 'good soldier'? Rotterdamains think it will just be another joke! And they ain't gonna buy it! So now the democons pulled HB off the couch and will try to plaster his face and name all over rotterdam.

The love affair is over!! And when the democons start discrediting fdg, it will bury them even further!! Good move! imho

Actually Dumping FDG for Buffardi is a good move.  EVeryone knows FDG is a terrible Super and that Buffardi has the skills, knowledge and experience to do things right.  The only pipe dream was thinking that your plan to tank repubs then 2 years later have BM be Super...thats the real laugher!

HB is the DEMOCONS shinning star. Not rotterdamians. He is still a democon and rotterdamians won't pull the lever for another one!

They already done did it. Like grabbing OSM money from all cable bills. Like a County wide police force. Like voting to weaken votes from Rotterdam/Hilltowns on the County legislature. Like halting the Duanesburg library expansion but approving the Downtown expansion. ANG and TJ Hooker actually voted to water down their own votes! You can't make it up.

The fact is that the Town Democratic Committee has been doing quite well in raising money during the past year --- and the credit goes to the hardworking members of the Fundraising Committee -- there are many folks who support our efforts ..and that can be evidenced in our filings with the Board of Elections.  We are not dependent on one person or the friends of one person to sustain our treasury.

On the other hand, the Town GOP seems to be having a hard time paying its bills and raising money.

Oh -- and I don't live in pipedreams .. I - and my fellow members of the Fundraising Committee - roll up our sleeves and do the work necessary to raise the funds ---  so get your own "dose of reality".
