Del Gallo, used by Democrats, doesn’t deserve criticism

Marjorie L. Schmid’s April 4 letter [“Del-Gallo’s done plenty, but not much good”] regarding Rotterdam Supervisor Frank Del Gallo echoes her complaints about every supervisor the town has ever had!
Politics is a dirty game and Rotterdam politics are alive with people from all political leanings who turn on each other at the slightest hint that something is amiss!
Mr. Del Gallo being an honest person, not a politician, thought he could help his town by running for office and was used by politicians to further their agenda! When those in power found he wouldn’t go along with their politics as usual, they decided he was no longer useful!
The Rotterdam Democratic Party, which had endorsed Del Gallo’s candidacy, has now abandoned him because he wouldn’t bend to their demands! Frank Del Gallo is an example of what happens when ordinary citizens try to bring honesty to government! This accomplishment in itself was well worth his effort, and townspeople are grateful for his service.
For many years, the police department has tried to take over town government, and the present Democratic slate is poised to do just that! The nomination of Harry Buffardi and Wayne Calder, former police officers — coupled with Tony Jasenski, the sitting chairman of the town Democrats and former chief of police — should be a warning to taxpayers that the takeover is in full motion!
The long hours put in by Frank Del Gallo, coupled with his desire to bring honesty to Rotterdam, are to be applauded. While many feel he should continue as supervisor, we also feel he has fulfilled his promise to not continue the status quo!
It is time to hand off the baton to the taxpayers of Rotterdam and let them determine their future!

maybe

he should have educated himself on the subject first

but i do agree that "police force" is coming

and if he feels so strongly about the "police force" why did he allowed raises for non-union members of the police dept well above the rate of inflation in a time when most non-union workers got NONE

and given the above statements i would expect a vote for MOHAWK on wed

Dear Gary Guido:

It is obvious your village is still missing your idiots (FDG, BG and EE).  Please feel free
to take them back anytime!  If FDG feels he is being "used" then he is free to not let
the door crack him in the a$$ on the way out.  He and that hack of a deputy supervisor
have caused nothing but trouble and chaos since they took office. By the way FDG made
out ok, don't feel sorry for him, he and RF made a huge amount of money when the Berlin wall
was put up on Dunnsville!

I think he means the Hamburg st merchant head.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

It's all bullsh!t! From the cops trying to take over rotterdam, to the dem party using FDG to pass thru their political and personal agenda, to FDG's own agenda!! And this is all coming out of the dem and con party.

Learn your lesson yet Mr. and Mrs.  Rotterdamians????

Who's funnier Ms Schmidt or Mr Guido? There is a huge fault line in the DEM party. The REPS must get their act together and nominated 2 electable TB candidates to run with Brian McGarry. Take your time and leave no stone unturned. Everyone has had enough. Even long time DEMS are disgusted with the current DEM antics.

if tracey d. plays the right cards she can win the whole thing -

lets see if she learned enough from joining with tj hooker for taxing district support - how did that vote go again?

join with the people tracey not politicos and give them what they want - brian is a great start, was against taxing district for the begining - but dont handcuff him with political hacks to run with

strike one for tracey was supporting GP against amedore

strike two was taxing district

lets see how she handles the next pitch

I don't believe for a minute that FDG did not know what was coming.  What is he twelve?  Yes the police are taking over  And what about RG?  It is unfortunate but FDG also showed that he did not know how to "act" like a supervisor.  On the other hand, ST and his gang, in their college boy suits , flag pins affixed, were nothing to write home about either.  You look at FDG and you know who he is and what he is.  It was the Republicans who fleeced the town.  Buffardi will win.  And NOBODY should ever listen to Marjorie Schmidt.  She is a bitter, nasty elder who should bow out of the political scene.  She is NO Leonard Weiss.

Not being a Leonard Weiss is a positive thang. One corrupt DEM machine is enough.

According to my sources, Tracey has done a great job and learned from her initial misstep. 3 great NNTP/REP Town Board candidates and 2 vast improvements for County Legislature. The announcement will be later in the week. TJ Hooker has to go. He is a total stooge for Landslide Savage. After the past 2 years the NNTP/REP Unity slate should do very well. Had enough-YET?

NO!  Benny you are kidding right?  The point is that Marjorie Schmidt is an armchair politician.  Leonard Weiss is brilliant.  He has done much for the party and he helps people.  Schmidt does nothing for anyoneand and spends her time criticizing anyone and everyone.  Send her to the Senior Center to wash the dishes.
