SCHENECTADY Police seek two men in Front Street area BY STEVEN COOK Gazette Reporter
Two men being tracked by authorities wanting them on parole warrants led to an intensive police search of the Front Street area Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Initial efforts, however, resulted in no arrests. The incident began shortly after 2 p.m. as police and parole offi cials tracked the men through Schenectady and into the Stockade. The men were in a green Range Rover. After getting to Front Street, just past Jefferson Street, the men stopped their vehicle and fl ed on foot up nearby Monroe Street, witnesses said. Front Street resident Gerald Plant said he was just getting home from work when the Range Rover come barreling down the street. He recalled wondering why they were going so quickly, when they stopped, got out and ran toward Monroe Street.
