McCarthy meeting with city workers

    SCHENECTADY — Acting Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy was expected to address Schenectady police officers working the midnight shift and will speak to other city employees today.
    McCarthy, the City Council president, is fulfilling the duties following the resignation of Brian U. Stratton, who is working for the state Canal Corporation.
    In a statement, McCarthy said he wants to get better acquainted with department staff and their roles and outline his expectations.
    McCarthy was to meet with the first shift at the police department and with the city sanitation workers and Bureau of Service Employees at the Foster Avenue facility this morning. He will then meet the second and third police shift officers later in the day.
    McCarthy is retaining his day job as chief investigator for the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Offi ce.
    McCarthy also thanked Stratton for his service and said he looked forward to serving.
    “I look forward to continuing to work on the city’s behalf, and maintain the positive trajectory and path, which we all share, to keep the Electric City charged, safe and well,” McCarthy said.

Can someone explain just how he is going to continue to work full time at the DA's office, hold position as mayor and city council president along with OSM etc etc etc...............?

well,,,,he did meet with SPD....maybe they will help lighten his load????
