YWCA facing foreclosure again

BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter

The YWCA of Schenectady is once again facing foreclosure on a piece of property for failing to pay overdue sewer and water charges, according to a legal notice.
YWCA Executive Director Rowie Taylor said the organization will pay the outstanding taxes, totaling approximately $12,000, by April 26, the date of the foreclosure auction.
Taylor said she learned of the delinquent taxes Tuesday when American Tax Funding printed a legal notice in The Daily Gazette. ATF buys delinquent tax liens and then tries to collect on them. The notice is for a second piece of property the tax-exempt YWCA owns at 38 Washington Ave. It also owns 44 Washington Ave.
Until Tuesday, Taylor thought the YWCA had satisfied its obligations.
“We thought they were all combined into a single parcel,” she said of the two properties.
“We will work it out and take care of it,” Taylor said Tuesday.
In December, ATF filed a foreclosure notice against the YWCA’s 44 Washington Ave. property. At the time, the YWCA owed $54,000 in overdue sewer and water charges. .....................>>>>....................>>>>....................................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00903&AppName=1

Another taxpayer bailout....DV cheers for this

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
