What is the need for a medical advisory board??????
What would their role be?
Rotterdam has been running without one for 6 years!!
It is clearly NOT needed!!!
Just another layer of nonsense to make the few look important and pull the strings behind the curtain in oz!!

Here it is, plain and simple.................yer in a car accident......ya hit 911.....a first responder/ambulance comes.
They have been doing that for decades!!! Ya don't need to be a rocket scientist here folks!!! As usual, government is making a mountain out of a mole hill!!!

This is all about $$$$$$$$$ and who will bill responsibly and correctly for als service and return it to the rotterdam taxpayers.
Mohawk has been doing it for decades.
REMS.........?????

I'd have to listen to it again, but my understanding was two "normal" town board members, not residents.

Other than that, I agree with you Kevin

Listen again.  It's in the second half of the 19th minute of clip one.  Matt Martin brings up that he doesn't see a problem with having 2 (finger quotes) normal residents, then Mr. Del Gallo makes the comment.

You are correct Kevin. Martin suggested having 'normal everyday' rotterdam residents.

Quoted from William Pen

Why was she not in attendance?  Wasn't this special meeting called at her request?  Was
she informed of the meeting being held?

Bob's suggestion ... 2 ambulance service providers ...

I agree that any who could be associated with providers who are potential bidders on the contract
should not be included on the Medical Advisory Board.   This would include those associated with REMS,
the fire departments, and the paramedics.  I suggest that they enlist several who are employed in
the medical field (i.e., practitioners) and several who have experience with contract law.

ND asked to hold the meeting but she was never informed of the date...and by the time she was told, she was already informed that
she had to attend a School Board meeting...mandatory for all administrators. This was common in the area this week...all of the school
districts are finding out how much state aid they will get...or not get.

REMS.........?????

Dean Ronca, FD Chief stated that the purpose of the medical board was for coordinative efforts between emergency first responders,
settling disputes between agencies, etc...but they never served that purpose...they were always at lager heads and never settled or
accomplished anything. Territoriality was their biggest problem. By the time REMS was formed, no one wanted to serve on it. It's time
to change the purpose of this advisory board...and its composition.

BG is obviously trying to shove another $1k study down our throats.

This crap should have been figured out BEFORE this whole charade began.

Mohawk will probably make REMS look like a bunch of amatuers on those bid proposals...and REMS obviously doesn't know the first
thing about ALS contracts since they conveniently skipped that little obstacle...while Mohawk's ALS contract has set the industry
standard.

Hopefully the town attoney(s) will be able to read and explain these bids to the town board. It will be long after 4/13 before this is resolved.
And I'm sure everyone agrees that this stuff should have been taken care of l-o-n-g before now.

Mohawk's response times have always been within national standards...the former volunteers we now know as REMS have never
been able to say that.
