"Catholics" aren't the only one's that observe "Lent". It's also observed and practiced by Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian and Anglican denominations as well as Eastern Orthodox, and also by Roman Catholics.
"Lent" isn't mentioned in any Bible, that I'm aware of - which version are you speaking of?
