I had the pleasure to meet our newly appointed assessor, Tina Dimitriadis, following the Feb. 28 City Council meeting. I must say from my first impression that Ms. Dimitriadis is a breath of fresh air and a plus to a department that has had its share of public relations problems over the past few years. Hopefully, Ms. Dimitriadis’ userfriendly attitude will permeate to the assessment review board and help put an end to the adversarial nature of that process. I am a firm believer of fi rst impressions, and my gut feeling is that the city made a wise choice with her appointment.
