2008-$500
     2009-$22,800!!!

Just a minor bump. And the morons at the Gazetto said that the City assessor did a "great job".

This is how the city has been balancing it's books on the back of the taxpayer. Serafini should take the city assessor to small claims court and make him justify the huge tax hike in one year. It should be illegal to raise property taxes for no apparent reason without any explanation especially when the value of houses have been dropping.

This was the year Stratton said he would not increase property taxes. Instead the City began an "Over-Inflated Assessment Scheme". This brought double if not triple that of ANY tax increase. It was just another slap in the face to every taxpayer and yet another reason Stratton is running scared out of the City.

It's worse than that. The City sold out his proposed road access. What you have here is an undeveloped plot-with no road-landlocked and the DEM morons 40X his taxes. No wonder the TU consumer affairs Editor had to get involved.

This is a 88 year old developer, Michael Serafini-who built most of these homes! This shows, once again, how out of control the DEMS have been.

Where are Sons? Where are people interested in justice in this City? When I said the City is morally bankrupt, I wasn't kidding. If it could happen to him-it could happen to anyone. A despicable story-as is the lack of prompt action by anyone in City Hall. Nobody give a ---- just pay up and good luck.

This is the tip of the iceberg. The Mayor has not even left office yet. Expect many more horror stories. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Remember Roger Hull decided to run for Mayor because of the continuing DEM reassessment farce. For his assessment to go up 40X on a parcel with no access, where the DEMS sold off any possible street access, is disgusting. On what basis does an undeveloped parcels assessment in the City-with no street access go up 40X? I can think of only one.

Yup his went up alittle more than mine : (  I'm sure he got rubber stamped also at greivance day "insufficient data"

Hopefully the new assessor (who I met the other day and she seems very nice) will see the mess Mastro created, don't know how she can "fix" it, but the greivance board better get on the ball and really listen and go through the info everyone brings in.

so his lot is over 20 thousand, mastro put mine over 17 thousand and the buildings and lots owned by Morris aka proctors aka PT development aka metroplex are assessed at $100.

Where the city is concerned, I think he should turn his attention to contesting an astounding hike in the assessed value (and resulting property taxes) on the city portion of his vacant lot.

The assessment, which was $500 in 2008, leaped to $22,800 in 2009 and dwarfs a $3,800 assessment on a similar-sized neighboring lot.

WOW!!!!
