Once again, Stratton has NOT declared a snow emergency. We've been plowed in Rotterdam twice, maybe three times already (a side street). Three people I know in Schenectady CITY--have not seen a plow once - not even once!
But what plowing will get done will be the sh*tty plowing resulting from Stratton's total failure to lead the city, plowing where plows will weave in and out of parked cars, leaving mounds of snow in the road.
Watch DV respond, "I was in the city and the roads were fine"
Oh yeah, the mayor is probably directing the city plow crews to ignore the neighborhods and plow out around Proctors so fat cat Morris can get richer in his personal bank account (and make political donations to the Schenectady Socialist Party (aka dems) |

Ride down Hamburg Street-once you hit the City line totally unplowed. Hard pack snow over ice. Unbelievable difference. No need for the Schenectady sign. Same thing in Nisky-once you hit the City no plows. The City DEMS are already blaming "budget cuts". Plowing and road resurfacing have never been a priority. Put way behind wasteful nonprofit solutions like moving Bethesda House to Vale. Stratton never acted like a real Mayor-why start now? |

I wonder how the snow is affecting Proctologist's "Lion King" tonight.
Or celebrations at the Recovery? |

Why does this surprise anyone? I didnt bother going out today. I did see the plows go past my house a few times. I was told the roads were clear. My husband went to Price Chopper this afternoon and said he had no problems. He then went to my fathers house over near Van Corlaer school and said he could see where the line was drawn for the plowing. He is thankful he didnt have to go further down. Im dreading the commute on Monday as its usually a mess regardless. Snow just makes it 100 times worse. |

Mayor Stratton will continue his pathetic record of never declaring a snow emergency. Temps in the 40's Sunday and 50's Monday-so let the good Lord take it away. The contrast between the excellent work in the town and dereliction of duty in the City was never clearer. |

Channel 6 had a report about the weather, and they were showing Schenectady at 7 p.m. last night where it was very obvious that the plows had not even been through once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the dems for ya. Screw the neighborhoods. Screw the taxpayers. Don't provide essential vital services to the neighborhoods for what the residents pay in taxes.
But those dems....they FORCIBLY STEAL money from the taxpayers but hiking their taxes in order to exempt their political crony contributor millioniares downtown from paying taxes -- instead the financially struggling homeowners pay the taxes for the millionaires while at the same time are forced to go without vital essential city services.
By the way, you dem supporters - do you think that that infrastructure issue on Kelton AVe will be fixed in the next ten years. The Dems SHOULD have been spending money on NECESSARY things like maintenance of water and sewers....but instead, those dems are more interested in stealing from the taxpyaers to fund gin mills.
And the state the same in a way....Stratton is going to be the head of this Canal Corp thing. Are there still barges that go on the canal? Does he even know what a barge is? |

It's funny that you bring up Kelton Avenue when is that scheduled to be completed? A lot like Oneida St which took years to get right. The streets are no better today. Dean St between Union and Eastern Parkway remains totally unplowed. The fund is probably depleted. Plowing is only one area the Stratton screwed the residents. It will take years to untangle his fiscal mess. |

"The snow goes up the plows go down-the snow goes down the plows go up." Stratton's original promise was that he knew what to do with snow. He was right. Wait for Spring! |
