Columbia University students heckled a war hero during a town-hall meeting on whether ROTC should be allowed back on campus.
"Racist!" some students yelled at Anthony Maschek, a Columbia freshman and former Army staff sergeant awarded the Purple Heart after being shot 11 times in a firefight in northern Iraq in February 2008. Others hissed and booed the veteran.
Maschek, 28, had bravely stepped up to the mike Tuesday at the meeting to issue an impassioned challenge to fellow students on their perceptions of the military.

Ask Giantsfan why demcorap socialists love the troops so much. He IS one. If the military is now training the officers to be socialist self-hating democraps then what can we all say to stop this crap. Nothing. The troops are in the tank now, who would have thought! |

no one likes war.....no one understands why we have war.....war has existed since the beginning of time....there have been all those feel good movies
about how loving talk blah blah blah works....I know it does in most cases.....then there are the feel good movies of war heros(not that they shouldn't
be recognized)....but in the end, like it or not war exists with rocks/sticks/guns/hands/knives etc etc.....and unless one removes oneself from
living amongst humanity and onto a planet all alone, there is no escaping it......that's what we are.....evolve? we cant even evolve beyond 2 major
political parties........ |

It is outrageous to heckle anyone who has served in our nation's military.
It is also outrageous that a certain poster is trying to make a partisan issue of this incident. No real Democratwould condone the heckling of a disabled American veteran .. and only a low-life pond scum sucking would imply that Democrats would condone such behavior. |
