How about eliminating the clause in their contract that says you can't fire a tenured teacher so we can eliminate having to pay for 6,000 teachers in NYC that can no longer teach due to criminal issues.
the list would be endless if I went into that much detail here....but yeah, sh!t like that.....that was a "I wont blow your cover if you protect mine.".......in the end it has added up to a ball of crap......

How about the Unions just decide that they no longer want to abide by the negotiated terms of their contract and demand that the already agreed upon pay scale be increased by 30%?
Don't think that is right???
But when Management decides to break contracts for political reasons... Conservatives think it's a fair practice.

Management is the taxpayer. You're right, when the majority of the taxpayers decides to stop paying public employees more than private employees working in the same industry, it's time to break the contract or the business will go bankrupt.
Public employees are bound by the contracts they negotiated... and so are those govt entities that manage those employees.
If the terms are not fair to either side, then they should be negotiated at the next contract. Unless you are one of those people who believe that Contracts only apply to the Unions.

Class warfare doesn't work anymore, that dog won't hunt. The rich pay most of the taxes now just check your facts. How much more are you going to tax them before they leave the country.

The RICH JUST GOT A TAX CUT!!! The RICH PAY A FRACTION OF THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES!!!
See if you can follow this: A tax cut for any one group, with out a like spending cut, is a tax INCREASE for everyone not in the group. (A tax cut for the Rich, is a tax increase for everyone else.)
Why not have the Rich pay what they did under Ronny Reagan? They didn't leave the country then. How about the Rich pay a tax rate that they paid under Bill Clinton...The Rich got Richer under Clinton. How about the Rich pay the same tax rate they paid when Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon were President. The rich did quite well then, and didn't leave the country when they actually PAID TAXES.

The Dems don't want to talk about that Cicero, their idea of a fair tax on the rich is: how much did you make and just send it into the government to give to the lazy people who refuse to get an education and a job. They especially like the redistribution of other people wealth but don't touch their money. Who is it that always gets caught not paying any taxes?
Unless you are one of those people who believe that Contracts only apply to the Unions.
No, I'm saying if the Government(the voters) wants to deal with unions like private businesses deal with unions, then the government(the voters) make policy(Just like in a private business). If the workers don't like the company policy, then they strike, and the government has the right to replace the union workers with scabs.
Unions don't dictate policy - not in business, not in government. I hope they strike, there are a lot of people looking for work, I don't think they will have a problem filling those positions.
The governor wants to offer workers "choice". You're pro choice aren't you? What the governor is saying, that the state is no longer forcibly collecting union dues from public employee paychecks and handing them to union bosses, and that workers are not forced to join the union. The unions can have the employees write a $700 or $800 check to the SEIU every year.
How much if "fair". How do you measure that? What is the exact fraction of "fair" do the "rich" pay?
U.S. States Lead the World in High Corporate Taxes
I didn't mention a word about "corporate taxes". The RICH... their personal income... they pay a fraction of what you and I pay. Warren Buffet is one of the richest men in the world. In is office, the person who pays the highest tax rate is the office secretary. Then comes his staff, then his lawyers, then the person who pays the LOWEST TAX RATE in the office is Warren Buffet... One of the Richest Men in the World.

being rich is subjective....I dont like having to be nickeled and dimed with F'EN coupons...false competition and the 'fear' of not having services via some dumba$$ conversation about government shut down.........
public employees should ONLY have wages in their contract and some dumbass procedures to follow for firing/hiring.....the rest should rest on the union bosses THAT THEY F'EN PAY.....no guaranteed pensions/healthcare forever, on my back.....pay your share to the union bosses let them invest and manage and guarantee it themselves.....you paid for it......keep it to yourselves....your taxes/my taxes are not your bottomless bucket for retirement/healthcare...manage it yourself like everyone else
the politicos have always used the public unions as podium pucks.....REMOVE THEM FROM THE EQUATION!!!!!!
no arguement = no problem

Fix the tax code so that there are no loop holes for write offs for special interest groups or create a flat tax or eliminate the income tax and create a vat tax, then everybody pays the same in proportion to what they make. The government like the money for their campaigns too much to do what's right for the taxpayer.
