When the town refuses to listen to the advice of the engineer/engineer aide you can't blame the engineer for the towns stupidity. The town would rather go along with the developers plans than do what's best for the residents. |

Greiesemer. Yulle, Lucca, Girvin and Ferlazzo, Whipple, Marco Family connections, Riitano, Verrigni Family connections, all came in under Paolino. He dumped Marchiniak, some guy named Jim, for his school yard buddies Lucca nd Whipple, Girvin and Ferlazzo represented albany and mohon schools districts, he moved out Liz Perry for Greisemer, he moved out Garth for Macejka, he appointed Yulle to Planning and Volpecelli (his neighbor's and school associates) Melody Marco another school chum's daughter got the him Brick and Diane, he got rid of Skip Marx for whomever. C'mon Yossi, boomer and alley. HE DID THE SAME THING HE ACCUSED FDG OF BUT AT A MUCH HIGHER DEGREE OF PAIN FOR THOSE HE SHIPPED OUT.
Your undying allegiance to JP is a JOKE!!!

Hey I have no undying allegiance to JP. I don't know Brick so I don't know his story either. Only what I heard. And I think you are way off base on some of your assumptions. You know what they say about ASSuming. RASPY/BT/Cicero/Spidey/Green Lantern/ come on--stop with the paranoia. Never heard of Marx and I only knew the elder Mr. Macejka and George Gullott. You people are a lot younger than I am. But I don't think you have insitutional memory only memory of what has affected you lately. So Raspy--you need to get a life. |

The folks at dunkin donuts said she supported cooke too. That could just be a rumor though. |

Coming into the present................Paolino was WAY out of line with FDG!! That is what makes this whole think stink! Paolino says that he swore he would never walk back into the town hall after he left. But with all of the 'important' issues facing rotterdamians, he actually thought that THE SENIOR CENTER was the most pressing to walk back into TH for??? And the fact that EE is awol isn't pressing? It looks very very distasteful to see an old super come back to criticize a sitting one. Only in rotterdam!! |

Why not the old Super is now just private citizen. I don't believe he gave up his rights as a citizen of Rotterdam and he is not bound by anything else in his response. That's just silly. |

Yes I know that but once you leave the employ of the town you are no longer an employee of the town. I get you were speaking about Paolino. He has every right to go to the meeting and b!tch if he wants to. |

Paolino was a good steward of Rotterdam's finances, IMO...he was a budget cutter...a fiscal conservative. He also made it clear when he ran the first time that he would run for no more than two terms...and he kept that promise. He was also a member of what was then a Democrat majority who accomplished more in his fours years than many in a lifetime of political positions.
Paolino didn't give the PD free reign...quite the opposite...it was Tommasone who gave them the farm in exchange for political support he never got....you may remember that it was Paolino who negotiated the last SPD contract, as their hatred for Stratton is well known...and Paolino was able to gain concessions from the PBA...not easy to do.
The reval was something that had to be done...I do think the process was botched, but by no fault of Paolino.
He was offered the job in the City because of what he did in Rotterdam...and probably prevented the City from going bankrupt...a disaster for which the surrounding Towns surely would have paid....dearly...while continuing to fulfill his duties as Supervisor.
In one of the rare alignments of the stars and planets -- I agree 100% with the above. |
