Ron Severson didn't take his estrogen today. Hence his hysteria against anyone who doesn't tow the far left line of Suzie SaVAGE.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Landslide Savage is finished. She has fallen off the rails purging every County bored and commission of anyone outside her narrow orbit. Everyone must march in goosestep over the cliff with her. Even long time DEMS have finally smelled the Sanka. Too late for what's coming in November if they don't dump her.

Landslide Savage refuses to acknowledge the clear will of the people. When you can't get even 40% of the vote in your own County or town-take a hint. It's over.

Except it itsn't negative for saratoga you moron. They are BANKRUPT...If anything it is an Ann Arbor Michigan problem because that's where they are centered http://www.bloomberg.com/news/.....e-says-update1-.html

But don't let facts get in the way

A major retailer closing a store in the main drag of a downtown isn't a negative ?????????

You must be the moron then --  oh wait --- you are one of the folks that want Schenectady to go back to the way it was when  the GOP was running the county --- an abandoned ghost town for a downtown --- that is the GOP definition of economic development.

Try driving across Erie Blvd on State Street. It's still a ghost town. In fact it's worse under Death Ray. Two blocks around Proctor's look fine-but they pay no taxes and the facades were paid by the oppressed taxpayers. The DEM idea of development is handing out tax exemptions to the friends and family club.

The comparison between Saratoga and Schenectady is embarrassing. Saratoga County keeps sales taxes lower, keeps property taxes 2/3rds less and is booming. They also have a REP Mayor and REP control of the County Board of Supervisors. They will fill up Borders before Death Ray brings his first store Downtown.

There are MORE businesses in downtown Schenectady today -- then there were a decade ago when the GOP ran Metroplex and the County Leg.

The fact is that a business is closing in Saratoga Springs --- Farley must be a complete failure --- he should resign.

The only problem with the businesses in Schenectady today is that most of them don't pay taxes.

But in this case, then shouldn't he get credit for the fact that there are more businesses in downtown Schenectady? And if there is more than 1 new business in downtown Schenectady, doesn't that cancel out the one that closed in Saratoga?

I mean, really, if you're going to blame this on Hugh Farley, then it could be said that this could just as well be blamed on Paul Tonko, Chuck Schumer or Kirsten Gillibrand, but I don't see you calling for THEIR resignations.

If it doesn't have to do with party affiliation, what does it have to do with?

Ok, so is Scarborough's closing FDG's fault?  Is 4 corners pizza (now closed) Savage's fault?  After all, they were in business during the GOP administrations and now under DEM they're not.

the closing of a borders in Saratoga.....has NOTHING to do with politics and EVERYTHING to do with the tech market.....Rotterdam needs to get on
board as do the schools and the US mail system.......it's too late to stop it...and it's moving faster and it's going to continue to speed up....

What Downtown 'businesses'? It's a strip of restaurants? There aren't even a handful of retail businesses in Schenectady...apparently the Plex doesn't have any friends or family who run retail establishments.

Well, maybe Schenectady can bring Borders into the Proctors Plaza. I mean even a bankrupt business can thrive when offered tax exemptions for decades, sales tax exeptions and a nice big loan from the Plex interest free and payable whenever.

HA HA HA HA HA HA     A replace bookstore IS looking to go into that Borders  IN SARATOGA!!!!     Gee, DV, are they looking to come into Schenectady???????           Well???????

Why not Schenectady, DV?????     Come on, ANSWER THE QUESTION.   If Schenectady is in a renaissance, where is the retail????

OK, DV, what is in downtown Schenectady?   An overpriced book store.   Now, tell us where you can buy clothing downtown?    Where can you buy shoes?   Where can you buy toys?   Where can you buy linens?   Where can you buy DVDs and CD's?    Where can you buy tools?   Shall I keep going?

shopping in Schenectady consists of:

1. drug deal on the corner
2. go to low $10-$15/hr job
3. stand in line at DSS to subsidize
4. go to walmart
5. take bus to the real city for some underground shopping
