what is sickeningly amusing is the use of the term 'revenues' when talking about government and spending.....IT'S NOT A BUSINESS with a bunch of 'customers'.....it's the dirty side part of our existence....somehow we managed to elevate it to an F'EN GOD status kind of like Ceaser....what the hell is wrong with us......
TAXES COLLECTED...THEN TAXES COLLECTED AGAIN.....THEN A FEW CRUMBS SPREAD ABOUT....THEN MORE TAXES COLLECTED....THEN A BUNCH OF RICH FOLKS(what ever that means) WHO SEEM TO FEEL GUILTY FOR THE $$ THEY HAVE AND WANTING TO TAKE EVERYONE ELSE'S MONEY AND SPREAD IT TO THE FOLKS WHO THEY SEE FIT TO HAVE IT......THEN MORE TAXES COLLECTED.....THEN MORE COLLECTED.....SO THE 'EDUCATED RICH'(what ever that means) CAN BUILD SOME SH!T TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL BETTER USING OTHER PEOPLES MONEY AND A SMIDGE OF THEIR OWN SO THEY CAN FEEL LESS GUILTY AND PUBLICALLY PROPPED UP.......THEN MORE TAXES COLLECTED.....WAIT,,,HERE COMES SOME FEAR LINGO FOR THOSE WHO WANT US TO 'FEEL SAFE'(what ever that means)........

A historic six-story building in downtown Schenectady, New York, has been cleaned of nearly 300 tons of material as part of an effort to renovate and restore the structure.
Known as the Foster Building, the property at 508 State St. was purchased a year ago by the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority.
Since then, the Metroplex has worked with Environmental Remediation Services Inc. (ERSI) of Rotterdam and Bonacio Construction Inc., of Saratoga Springs to remove asbestos, stabilize the building, replace the roof and preserve the structure. The Metroplex said 256,050 pounds of contaminated material have been removed, and 340,000 pounds of demolition material taken out.
A new roof has also been installed and all six floors stabilized.
The stabilization is expected to be finished in a few months. The Metroplex will then work with Bonacio Construction to explore opportunities for retail, office and residential uses.
The Foster was built more than 100 years ago and is listed on the National Historic Register. It is located a block away from Proctors.
..or how important it is that the Plex has spent millions with no return. Even Trustco Bank high-tailed it out of Schenectady (a $600,000 tax loss every year ever since the County Leg bought that building).
That's right, why would an issue like bankrupting the taxpayers be of concern during an election? Guess you'd have to live in the City and pay taxes to care about that.
