There's Mary McClaine.   McCarthy makes snide comments about her often.   Let's see he says something to her.

What's the matter, DV, you can't handle that YOUR DEM BUDDY McCArthy is being criticized.

Do you support an employee of the DA's office giving out confidential information without the authorization of the DA's office and doing in a capacity other than as an employee of that office?

Awwwwwwwwwww   Listen to your poor little McCarthy, doesn't like it when a citizen criticizes the PD.

McCarthy turned as red as his tie! Great turnout of citizens who have had enough of his demeaning comments. Good job Cel, Jason and Pat Z who called for his immediate resignation. That prompted another sarcastic remark. Let's see how the MSM spins this.

Good Job Cel, Pat and RP!

RP, I heard that quote from Angelou some years ago and it is oh so true. For me anyway. Thanks for saying it!

What did McCarthy say after Pat? I heard her most excellent comeback but I didn't catch what he said, anyone?

He said something like.....'always nice to hear encouraging words'.............or something like that. Then Pat Z turned around, walked back up to the mic and basically told him 'he' was out of order!!! It was the best!!!

And kudos to cel and pam and everyone else who got up to speak. Great job!!!

One thing I haven't paid attention to since I watch the meetings on TV.  Are they streamed online anywhere?    I think some of these reporters and Paul and Al on 1300 should see these, so they see for real what's happened.  I know Paul worked with Pat a few years ago when the SOS tried to sneak thru a raise for himself without the taxpayers knowing.   (oh, watch DV now call his buddies and try to get the videos removed if they are posted somewhere)

They are on the OSM website. Click on "Watch live" then a menu pops up and look for "Schenectady Government", click on that and then you can see what is there. Most recent postings are on top. It may take a few days for them to post it.

nice to meet you Cel : )  When I saw Pat walk back up : ) Good for her !!!! And yes she looks great : )

As for GM, lame excuse at the end followed by again discounting the young man who I got a chance to talk with for a few minutes.

GM has no right telling US not to believe someone, its our right to speak at council and JMO they don't want him speaking.

Yes, did you hear McCarthy later when the council were making statements at the end, and then that Van Stewart I think is name is, commented.  So yes, the Schdy council meetings don't allow for dialog of any sort (as does ROtterdam).  So there's McCarthy telling that Mr Stewart (in a rather nice way though) that the procedures of the meeting don't allow for dialog.

Well Mr McCarthy, EAT YOUR WORDS... McCarthy is trying to "dialog".   OK, they don't dialog in those meeting.

But if some member in the audience ever said anything like that, they'd be called out of order, that only the speaker can speak, etc etc.

But McCarthy, the wannabee mayor, does whatever he damn well pleases

Hi mc1 I believe they stream the air programing as it hits cable for Public Access Chnl 16 or now referred to as "Community"channel.

They do not stream live feeds.

There are links to playback meetings on the OSM website.. Unfortunately I am not able to see the whole list they offer.  A technical snafoo with their web page building.

This link will get you to the web page that holds the playbacks of the committees meetings and the city council meeting.  http://openstagemedia.com/?q=watch

The young man sounded intelligent and, more importantly, respectful to everyone. He has a right to speak what is on his mind
right? Not everything everyone says at the podium is factual and I would hope that most of us understand that, yes?

One goes to the podium to express their concerns and this man was expressing his.

McCarthy  doesn't like it? Too bad. Why did he have to voice yet another opinion about the guy's comments? About his claims being
baseless? Are we just supposed to take McCarhtys word for it? With the problems in police depts, not only ours either, I don't find it too
far fetched. Maybe his claims aren't true, I don't know and that is not my point anyway. he should have the freedom to address the council, in an orderly fashion and that is what he did.

Why doesn't MCarthy just let the guy say what he has to say without offering his opinion? Isn't that out of order?
Pat, can you answer that?
